1. Bibi knows what to do, but lacks the guts to do it
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.03.16)
This article offers sound analysis. As Hendel notes, Bibi is doing little but following Bennet's lead. Bibi is far from dumb. He knows what he should do. The problem is that he lacks the guts to do it.

Bibi knows he should build massively in Judea and Samaria. He knows he should annex Judea and Samaria. But Bibi also knows Obama, the E.U., U.N. and assorted foes and false friends, will jump on him the moment he does anything good for Israel. So he cowers in the background, as Bennet leads.
2. bibi is a coward
james   (08.03.16)
hendel's article is spot on.

bennett leads and bibi whines and manouevers politically. just as in the gaza war, bibi sat at the security table listening but without a sense of what to do. he is and has never been an aclaimed fighter.

thus, he feels most comfortable with a fellow coward who is even weaker than him ie herzog, wanting to join up.

and to do what exactly-2 state, give up e. jerusalem, most of jordan valley and judea and samaria in return for false signatures and 10 x the terror with shrunken border. only a shmuck like herzog would fall for that and you can add bibi to the group.

No 1 has it exactly right. israelis have not fully ascertained that bibi is a coward but all of his actions, his nervous demeanour, his excessive thank you to obama for american aid shows he is very close to the biggest coward israeli ever had-olmert.
3. stop with the coward stuff, it's nonsense
Richard E Sherwin ,   herzliyah   (08.04.16)
excuse me, but no one who wants to be PM of Israel, let alone succeeds in becoming such, and staying such for so long, can fairly be called a coward. Perhaps a fool. but not a coward.
The PM's first job (or 2d, if staying PM is first, as it usually is for all PMs) is to keep this crazy vulnerable country thriving, sometimes barely limping along, sometimes speeding damn near crashing, in a neighborhood stuffed with a bunch of jewhating vicious murders liars and thieves.
Here and there we get allies, sometimes even within Israel.
Handel's article is very good as far as it can go. But the PM's job is to keep every party in the coaltion fed a bit, hungrier even more, and ward off all the takeovers his allies and likud members and enemies keep planning -- notice like business, NONE of the takeovers are 'friendly', theyre all hostile, personal, and usually very very nasty. Starting with attacks on his wife, his hairdo, and his reading newspapers. Or doing videos. Come on folks, just who do you trust in his place?
4. Bibi and Benneth
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (08.04.16)
could be the perfect team for Israel,if only they could let go their ego.

6. Bibi gone, no more Likud
Avi L.   (08.08.16)
The only thing that keeps the Likud together is Bibi's manipulative "leadership".

Once he's gone, Likud will break up and Bennet will take a good chunk of it.
