Its not about real guns.Also the better translation is "Little Weapon License"with this gun you can only shot CS Gas-but this guns are mostly used for new year th shot fireworks.At home you dont need the license.The Litte License allows you to take the gun on the street-but its not allowed in germany to go with this CS Guns,Knifes,Pepperspray to Demonstrations or Festivals etc!

You can also buy a real gun if you are in a shooting club(traditional thing-nit like in the USA-many shoot only with little Ammo)but you are not allowed to carry the gun on the street!If you have it at home and drive to the club it is not allowed to carry it in the front of the car!
Ammunition must also be in a special safe-Gun and A. in the same Safe is not allowed.
Also now the state can came and control everytime if you have your gun in the safe.

Today nearly nobody get an Licence to carry real guns for self defense.25 years ago even NAZIs get an license.

And 40 years ago everybody about 18 was allowed to buy a real gun,even by mailorder!
Where there many shootings back in time?NO!
