1. When last I looked - Shiloh was the capital
MadDad ,   Johannesburg   (10.05.16)
Of Isreal before Jerusalem.
Is it safe to say that Jews want this ancient city to be part of their homeland - as it is today?
2. Hopefully, Trump will be the next president...
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.05.16)
Trump has voiced opposition to the evil Two State Final Solution. Hopefully, Trump will be the next U.S. president, and he will keep his word. One thing is certain, a Trump administration can't possibly be as bad as the present one.
3. #2 Chaim LOL
Mark B. ,   Amsterdam / Holland   (10.05.16)
Saying that Trump will keep his word is like saying Hillary never told one lie in her entire life and that Obama is a Viking in disguise.
Say, you interested in buying a bridge in Brooklyn by any chance...?
4. Shameful behavior
Sidharta ,   Malibu   (10.06.16)
Are you kidding me ?
You come to the US to beg for money
Make promises and after u get the money
You break your promises ?
Keep pushing like a kid he needs to find the boundaries
and soon you will find there is no one to play with.
Netanyahu is behaving in away that jeopardize
The relationship between Israel the US EUROPE
and Prety much every one else.
Israel is insisting on becoming a pariah state.
I grew up in Israel and it is crazy to see what's is happening
To Israel reputation in the last 40 years .
Wake up !!!
5. Once again...
Jacob Edeleman ,   NYC, NY   (10.06.16)
I don't think any US administration has any intention ( so far) of going beyond words besides condemning Israeli deceitful actions without really doing anything to stop these nonsensical grabbing of land. That's a pity because it encourages the current Israeli leadership to laugh off these condemnations and plan for newer ones. If Israeli leadership believes that building settlements is going to cow down the Palestinians to forget about the country they call their own you have something coming your way: You might need to buy new copies of Eugene Sue's book .
6. TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT
FO ,   Belgium   (10.05.16)
You are violating the Treaty signed in 1924 between the United States and Great-Britain to guarantee the implementation of the "Mandate for Palestine". In the US a treaty becomes the Law of the State! The "Mandate" (League of Nations, 1922) gave the Jewish people the IRREVOCABLE RIGHT to settle anywhere on the territory between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, including the Golan Heights, to create their independent state, a right that became International Law and valid to this day being reaffirmed by Article 80 of the United Nations Charter. By opposing the "Mandate", the State Department is violating a Law of the State!
7. The blind hate was felt in the speech
USstateDept ,   Jerusalem   (10.06.16)
Never before was such hate felt as in that speech, Syria with its
millions displaced and half a million dead does not receive such
hate from the US State Department a department that has
spearheaded for all of Israel's existence a misguided policy
of weakening the Jewish Homeland The US State Department
sadly has been the biggest impediment to the restoration of
the Jewish Homeland that's a fact. Arab Oil Anti Semitism
we all know played a major part in allowing the Holocaust to
be carried out thanks to the US State Department a government
within a government ?!
8. Israel needs to tell the US to butt out at any cost
Muz ,   Canada   (10.06.16)
Israel seriously needs to tell the US to butt out. The US is trying to blackmail Israel with this so called two state solution. Israel should know there is no such thing as a two state solution any more than having the US to have a two state solution with Mexico or Cuba.
This is not something that is a gray area but is very black and white. The so called Palestinians have no intention of recognizing Israel and want to cut it right in two, which will happen if Israel submits to the US. Gaza and the West Bank will literally divide the country of Israel and for what? Gaza is proving what the outcome of this diabolical plan is and that is to destroy Israel. Israel needs to tell the US to plain shut its mouth and ignore this thing called Obama.
9. Jew Free? But not Arab Free?
Daniel ,   Tel Aviv   (10.06.16)
It is safe to say any land traded for peace is a piece of wasted land. The West Bank was captured in a defensive war. It is therefore legally Israels were the rules applied to her the way they apply to the rest of the world. Top that with why not build settlements? If the land becomes part of Palestine all the Jews must leave? But all the Arabs in Israel can stay? Oh I forgot not the same rules for Jews. So FU White House and anyone else who has two sets of rules
10. one hundred thousand children trapped in Aleppo
C   (10.06.16)
obama's obsession with jews building in jehuda and shomron is beyond belief.
11. i apologize...
Adler J   (10.06.16)
Ps: Israel has a listing of retirement
centers and nursing homes throughout Israel
for old people but rich people. I know my previous
post in this article doesnt match with what you all
are debating here. Anyhow i thought it could be
Interesting to hear from other ynet members what
You think about the issue. The retirement centers
for elders in cities and moshavim became a private bussiness
neither the peres center has programs for old people that
cant afford a beit avot retirement
lehitraot

12. Opinion...
Adler J   (10.06.16)
We understand Israel has the right to build everywhere in
Israel including Jerusalem not just because its
Israel land but because theres a lot of empty space in the capital where
the government could build also small apartments for elder
people who cant afford renting for instance a two
bedroom apartments. I think the government should care
about it specially the Minister of Housing and Construction.
Trust me im not interesting to became a politician, but i ask
Where are the people who work for the State
of Israel? When you walk in Ben Yehuda, King George,
under bridges near the central bus station etc
you see old people sleeping in the floor in the street
without food, without health care, poor people and they
for sure are not arabs but the government doesnt try
to fix their bad attitude toward those old people. But
there you have the hipocresy to start arguing and offering
reasons why this or that street should be rename for
Shimon Peres...
13. # 2 Chaim AMEN!
BUILD BABY BUILD !!!   (10.06.16)
Lets' hope he also jails the criminal Hillary.
That would be monumental.
Meanwhile...
KEEP BUILDING !!
14. When Kerry and Obama hear the Arabs say
MadDad ,   Johannesburg RSA   (10.06.16)
that Israel is the cause of all problems in the ME, these gullible dumbos actually believe them.
15. 49 years
Bertram ,   London, UK.   (10.06.16)
I am old enough to remember, as a student in 1967, the euphoria following Israel's victory in the Six-Day War. While there are incessant arguments as to who is to blame for the situation is a tragedy that in the 49 years since that nothing has been resolved. If the West Bank / Judea and Samaria is now considered to be part of Israel then why aren't people publicly pushing the current Israeli government for complete annexation. Yet, I don't hear a word of it, merely the usual sloganising. Could this be because Israel would inherit a substantial non-Jewish population which, if enfranchised, would endanger its Jewish character? Or, could it be because if the non-Jewish population was either expelled or kept disenfranchised it would attract such international condemnation that it would make the current criticism of the country seem like a mere slap on the wrist? Either way, the status quo existing for the last 49 years, with the settlements and the flaring up of vioelence from time to time, continues to be the preferred option. It allows polticicans on all sides to wring their hands and for much need public funds to be spent on 'armed struggle' and 'security'.
16. To understand why israel reneges on it's promises, Kol Nide
James   (10.06.16)
No promises, oaths or vows have any value.
17. Spoke to soon
Dov ,   USA   (10.06.16)
Judging from what the he Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented, it seems that this US outburst was perpetuated without prior investigation. Relocating citizens and creating jobs is a noble act. You can be rest assured that the Israeli government would treat all its citizens in this manner. Sometimes Obama's administration disappoints me.
18. DEMAND massive Judea and Samaria buiding because it is ours!
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.06.16)
#13. We both hope the present horrible U.S. administration will be replaced by a Trump administration. This would benefit Israel, and it would benefit America far more.

However, the reason we should DEMAND massive Judea and Samaria building is simple. It is ours now and forever. End of discussion.
