2. This is a Ruse!

Both the Portuguese and Spanish offers of citizenship to Jews descended from those forced out in 1492 is a ruse.
Reasons for the ruse:
1. both Portugal and Spain have backed the Palestinian right of return...this law is meant to "soften" the blow so that Israelis will take up Portuguese or Spanish Citizenship.
2. both Portugal and Spain in their strong anti-semitic beliefs are of the mind that all Jews are rich...therefore they were looking to Jews to come in and bring big money! What they have learned is that there are many money-hungry Jews looking for an easy route to EU citizenship. Its a mis-match all around.
