JerusalemArabsRejoic ,   Jerusalem Israel   (11.24.16)
7:08 PM Local Arabs in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Tzur Bahir.Jabal
Mukaber are celebrating outside the local Tzur Bahir Mosque with
fireworks and shouts of happiness at the misery of the Jews from
the fire as the Israeli Media still tries to play down the source of the
arson
3. Needed Now Realistic & Honest Israeli Media !
LeftistMediaKills ,   Jerusalem Israel   (11.24.16)
Even now the Media of Israel is downplaying the source of the arson
and even when they will be shown the facts in black and white
Channels 2 10 and 1 will find a way to play it down and even
justify it. Oded Ben Ami spoke about everything especially
blaming the lack of the Super Tanker on Netanyahu but refused
to deal with Arab Arson he danced all over the place what a bad
joke he is now and always has been but he is more than just
a clown he is a dangerous clown to the nations security along
with his brothers and sisters in the corrupt Israeli media they
endanger our families lives
It has been responsible over the years for brainwashing
millions of naïve Israelis into such horrors as the Oslo "Peace" Process
this must stop we need a responsible Israeli Media and NOW

5. Arson, neglect, bad planning, and "lack of resources"
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (11.24.16)
As far as Israel's fire-extinguishing resources are concerned, Israel should without delay, and I mean WITHOUT DELAY, place an order on dozens of American made tanker planes, equipped with fire-extinguishing capabilities, and include them in Israel's military air force. Fire-extinguishing military planes are a MUST for Israel - regardless of whether the cause of the fires are arson, neglect or hot arid weather.

Israel must develop its very own independent fire-extinguishing capability regardless of other nations' willingness or unwillingness to help. It's great to see that there are nations who want to help Israel out, but Israel would be a lot safer if it had those resources and capabilities itself.

As far as Arabs are concerned, most of them are indeed hostile to Israel and democracy cannot be extended to those who desire rights for themselves but trample upon the rights of their fellow men without blinking an eye. Arabs want rights for themselves but do not recognize that Jews too have human, democratic, civil and national rights. Most Arabs must be stripped permamently and irreversibly of their democratic rights, their Israeli citizenship and Israeli passports and they must be expelled from Israel permanently. Without delay.

Israel cannot afford to have 1.5 million potentional hostile elements within its borders. The right to life and survival are the most basic of all democratic rights even if Israel's lunatic left wingers seem to disagree and seem to think that Arabs stand above the law and are holier than cows with 100% rights and 0% obligations. Totally unacceptable.

As far as people's intentions are concerned, be it arson or neglect, such acts must be punishable by law and must be punished severely - at least 15-20 years in jail. There must be consequences for those who are responsible.

C   (11.24.16)
the islamic terrorists are trying out arson as a method of terror.
oddly, only jewish towns have been affected thus far.
there has to be a strong response to this terror, one way
or another.
9. who caused the fires?
ian   (11.24.16)
all almost everyone knows except the oslo brigade of politicaans who have the binders on

capital punishment for arsonists- they have to know it.

this is the peace that herzog and lapid desire-suicide cafe bombs, axes and machete attacks, bus attacks, underground tunnel surprises, and burn down israeli forests and homes.if there was a law on naivete and gullibility, then lapid, li vni, herzog, yechaimovitch, peretz would be in jail big time.

arsonists should be shot in the act.

as for yaalon- this is the real world-not some class in philosiphy and textbook morality.
10. After fire Eucalypts regenerate naturally. Pine trees don't.
The Red Fox ,   Australia   (11.25.16)
So who's brilliant idea was it to plant forests with pines from a temperate climate in a place with hot dry desert hamsinim? The mind boggles.

For sure some immigrant expert from Russia or Europe longing for his homeland's trees.

Also, have you noticed how Israel's pine forests are devoid of birds? Not happy forests to say the least.

Attorney General orders probe of German submarine deal which may pose a---
legal threat to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit on Thursday asked State Attorney Shai Nitzan to examine a major arms acquisition from Germany.
2..Follow the lawyer
Op-ed: In his fourth term, Netanyahu is a king in his palace. As the one who was the first to spot the Mount Carmel fire, can’t he spot a fire in his own courtyard? Those who oppose the submarines' purchase question its timing. The real question is the involvement of the PM's lawyers and relatives.
12. This is sad, I wish it would rain soon
Samir ,   West bank   (11.25.16)
Seeing a tree burning is very sad! What would happen to the birds? I have been to Haifa. It is a beautiful city! This really saddens me. I pray for rain immediately.

Will have been the most downloaded on Itunes by a certain demographic and age group in the past few days, the one and only Billy Joel's classic, "We Didn't Start The Fire".

A great tune by the way.

Wishing all well and hoping everyone is safe and sound in these crazy times.
