When the new USA Consulate was built about 10 years in the Talpiot-Arnona neighborhood of Jerusalem EVERYONE knew this site was chosen and the HUGE building was built because THIS was to become the embassy.
So really Vicki don't let them tell you that they are "looking for locations for the embassy in Jerusalem" ... that is just an excuse...the building is already there...if they are serious all they need to do is change the building's NAME.
The thing is ... they aren't really serious. It is a smokes screen.

I urge you to come out from under your Minneapolis rock and come visit Israel so that you can see what the USA Consulate Compound in Jerusalem looks like.
I urge you to get on line and read about the history of the USA Consulate Compound in Jerusalem, including but not limited to what the USA State Department said at the time of the construction of the new building.
I urge you to get on line and read about the comments made by then Republican President Mr. Bush when the new building was inaugurated.
I urge you to get an education before continuing to comment on ANYTHING related to Israel...because in all candor...you are SERIOUSLY lacking in knowledge.

His own governments have been in violation of the Basic Law - Jerusalem for years! His governments have maintained 75 different buildings with government offices ALL of them OUTSIDE of Jerusalem in direct violation of the Israeli Basic Law - Jerusalem the Capital of Israel.
Therefore to demand that the USA move their embassy to Jerusalem is a form of high level hypocrisy.

I will expand on that comment by adding: Secretary of State Mr. Shultz, he served under the Republican President Mr. Reagan, gave the order to purchase land in Jerusalem for building an Embassy in Jerusalem. The land purchased is in Arnona. The building built is the USA Consulate Building which is just about the same size as the USA Embassy in Tel Aviv. Basically, no search is required, that's a delaying tactic. The land is owned by the USA. The building was built by the USA. All that is needed is to change the sign. Anything else, is just another example of PEOTUS Mr. Trump attempting to buy time in order to avoid moving the Embassy.

Jerusalem belongs to Israel, if it wants its capital in Jerusalem let it happen immediatly. It remains to be seen if Trump was lying or telling the truth about moving embassy to Jerusalem or not and recognizing Jerusalem as the capital. Trump lied about many things to get votes. I hope he did not lie to get the Jewish vote.
