The resolution text needs a study, and can be easily voided if it is overreaching, discriminatory and unclear.

With due respect, my 2 cents:

(1) Netanyahu needs to take responsibility for messing up the US-Israel relationship this bad. Israel needs US more than the other way around, and when you have such dependencies, you do whatever it takes to retain that relationship

(2) Whenever you are trying to stretch something to its limits, you must stop right before it snaps and breaks. It is one think to build homes on uncontested land in WB etc., but on private properties? Come on guys... Israelites are way smarter than that!

If the U.S. stands firm in backing Israel, as Trump has promised, the resolution will have little effect. There are no enforcement mechanisms and the ICC has no jurisdiction unless Israel grants it. Labeling settlement products might cause people to buy more given the almost universal anti-Muslim sentiment among most people. The people who pay attention to BDS do not need any new incentives. The Palestinians might engage in more terror but they can always find an excuse, if the U.S. had vetoed the resolution it would have been a new excuse. The lives of the Palestinians will not be improved by anything that their leaders and the UN do.

The 4th Geneva Convention only applies to state actors who have recognized the validity of the 4th Geneva Convention.

In order for the 4th Geneva Convention to apply,
1) A state actor must exist, and
2) the state actor must recognize the 4th Geneva Convention. Countries that did not agree to abide by the Convention are not bound to abide by it.

Since no "Palestinian" state exists and has never existed, the 4th Geneva Convention does not apply to the Arab imperialist settler communities in Judea and Samaria.

Annexation is the solution, this UN resolution can only be applied in a place where an occupation exists. Israel has the right to Annex this land under the laws of the UN.
