1. Israeli arrogance
Terry ,   USA   (12.28.16)
There will never be peace in the Middle East, particularly in Israel. Neither side wants it. They just want to extract the maximum amount of US welfare $$$ they can. We (USA) are tired of financing an imperial Israel and heathen Arabs. We have no need of anything from either side. Let them fight it out without us.
2. The people of Israel want peace, but Netanyahu does not.
Rich ,   Toronto   (12.28.16)
He hopes to get WW III going with Iran. How will that enhance the quality of life for the average Israeli?
3. Way to Far
KLB ,   USA   (12.29.16)
Why does peace always depend on Israel giving up their land? Look what happened with Gaza for which Israel was also blamed.
The majority of U.S. citizens support Israel. Why the Obama administration is wasting their time considering the president-elect has expressed shame for their back stabbing, is another question.
The United States will support Israel again. To hell with the U.N. and the Obama Administration two state solution which is no solution at all.
4. Replaced
KLB ,   Los Angeles   (12.29.16)
The only true solution is the demise of the Obama administration. The majority of U.S.citizens support Israel and the president-elect Donald Trump has made it clear that he supports Israel. The ignorant New World Order progressive left thinks we're the stupid ones as they blame Russia for their losses.
5. Then do it!
Bill ,   Skokie U.S.A.   (12.29.16)
Mr. Netanyahu, said "I want young Palestinian children to be educated like our children."I believe him! So that being said, why hasn't it happened? How many schools has Israel built for the " Palestinian children" how many towns ha Israel built for them? what has Israel done to show their neighbor that they love them as their own? The Palestinians are equally unloving, they haven't taught their children the truth about the Jewish people.. Both sides need to demonstrate to each other that their in this together. Jacob and Esau reconciled to each other because he who hates his brother is no friend of God. No matter whats happened in the past doesn't matter, it cant be undone! Do the right thing today, don't think about tomorrow. If you do enough today's right tomorrows will be good and memories about yesterday will be pleasant. I know this sounds Utopian but isn't that what we all want? Love they neighbor as they self and your father in heaven will bless you more than could imagine. God is in control of all things he wants for us as we want for ourselves, but we have have to do it his way not ours
6. as usual just more grandstanding by Bibi to his base...
Rafi ,   US   (12.29.16)
At the end of the day, Bibi's theatrics have little to do with Obama or Kerry.

Bibi is a master at exploiting every event - good & bad - to his political advantage. There is no substance there, no real ideology or vision... just a very good political acumen.

Bibi's Golden Calf is his political base in Israel... issues of war & peace, Iran, international relations, and even the Diaspora all take 2nd fiddle when the calculus is staying in power - and revving up his base.

Netanyahu's displays before US Congress, the UN, etc - no matter how injurious to Israel's relations - should all be seen in this light.

And until that largely backward, blue-collar base in Israel shifts, don't look for much change in this losing proposition for the State of Israel known as Netanyahu.

7. Enough is definitely enough
Jacob Edelman   (12.29.16)
PM Netanyahu Is acting like he is the head of a superpower. Sorry my friend ! do you see any body waving flags and cheering you on except the few fanatics you have created through your rhetoric? Enough is definitely enough as you have the country through a blind alley. Time to pack and go to free Israel from the nightmare you have caused.
8. Fine, no money, no protection
Carol ,   NYC   (12.29.16)
If Israel doesn't want to listen, then you must go solo. No money, no diplomatic protection, no military assistance when you are in trouble.

Get this straight in your heads. We owe you NOTHING. And if you think Trump is going to be different, you should think again. AMERICA FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!
9. SOME REFLECTIONS...
FO ,   Belgium   (12.29.16)
Indeed, PM Netanyahu speech was great! But my disappointment remains. Since years I'm waiting for an Israeli leader, and not only the PM, to proclaim finally, once and for all, Israel's irrevocable rights in International Law. That the ownership of the so-called "West-Bank", including East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights belong to the State of Israel, and to no other! This, conform to the League of Nations 1922 resolution, the Mandate for Palestine, a resolution that can't be rescinded, all the more that it has been reaffirmed by Article 80 of the United Nations' Charter. This is exactly what the author of UNSC resolution 242 explained to the permanent members of the council, that after an Israeli withdrawal from the Sinai Desert, that was no part of the Palestine Mandate, Israel could not be required to withdraw from any other territory; but he, the author, was forced to reduce the impact of his conclusion, by writing withdrawal from territories and not from THE territories. Of course an undeniable problem exists: not the presence of a by the KGB invented Palestinian nation, but of a Muslim population, impregnated with fierce anti-Jewish-Israel hatred, not based on nationalistic or territorial demands, but on religious indoctrination. The eventual peaceful solution of this problem remains the exclusive prerogative of the state of Israel, being the exclusive owner of the territory in accordance with International Law!
10. HYPOCRITE-IN-CHIEF
Frank-el ,   Seattle USA   (12.29.16)
Americans tell Netanyahu: the USA doesn't need to be lectured about its policies by foreign leaders.

I hope old pasty face can't sleep at night knowing that the chickens have come home to roost. His immature and damaging speech to Congress defying a sitting US President; his ungratefulness to the American taxpayer and President who recently forked over $38 BILLION; his petulance after decades of slavish US support at the UN; his unleashing of attack dog Dermer (a real piece of work that guy) and Christmas tongue lashing of US Ambassador Shapiro; his embarrassing pandering and groveling to Trump who has no office at the moment...not to mention all his internal Israeli shenanigans...makes one wonder if this guy really knows what he's doing.

Israel is losing many, many friends. Instead of lashing out like a drunk teenager think a step or 2 ahead since there is a real opportunity to do something good here.

C   (12.28.16)
if kerry was talking to the state department staff, and not to israel's leader,
then why should Israel care one bit about hid ramblings.
12. bibi vents
james   (12.29.16)
his eminenc e weisglass who thinks he knows something, and dan kurtzer criticize bibi for his vitriol directed at kerry and obama, they want him to be like herzog, make nice,, he's a friend and sincerely cares about israel.

bibi is a patriot and talk is his specciality. He iss angry because however it worked, kerry with a wink and nod got together and pushed through a resolution that hurts israel at the icc, divestment and bds. life is now harder for israel. moreover, abbas even now uses the resoluton on lets talk but that resolution is now the start point. kerry has hamstrung israel's room to negotiate. so he has harmed israel and as george mitchel says, both sides are furthur apart.

no one can outargue arabs- they are tenacious and number one arguers.

Israel can and will defend itself and has people who can do it.

So bibi rightly vents. Actions onthe ground count for more than verbal blather.

but kerry gets no thank you for what he has done.

If you isrealis really want to thank kerry, then bloody well vote for lapid, herzog and livni, wthdraw, give teritories back and ask permission to pray at the wailing wall.Even then, abbas will complain and ask you to get out of tel aviv, rthere is no end and you shoujld know it, not this idealistic junk.
13. ehud barak is pathetic
jerald   (12.29.16)
what a pathetic figure is ehud barak, reviled and discredited for bungling the marmora takeoever, doing an anemic job in gaza, and folding in the face of terror. he was a disaster, an utter disaster. he recommended the weakling herzog to the israeli electorate. the majority of israel doesnot agree with kerry or ehud barak.

he had his time and no one wants to hear from. go visit olmert in jail and leave israel alone.

bibi is no strongman but he is saying the truth about what the UN security council resolution does to israel.
14. I wish John Kerry Luck on his way."-do me a favour!
(12.29.16)
15. YEAH! THE SAME IS SAID ABOUT SAUDIS, BUT
IRANIAN JEW ,   LALA LAND   (12.29.16)
every president shows up to give shoeshine to every king. Actually, Israel do not need USA money either. Pretty soon, it will be a big energy super power. Also, whatever US gives Israel buys back in weapons and interest. So, stop whining ike you do not need a cusotmer to buy the guns. At least Israel uses it to protect its citizens. It does not it looses it to ISIS.
16. IF THEY ALLOW AND ACCEPT ISRAEL, THEN IT WILL
IRANIAN JEW ,   LALA LAND   (12.29.16)
Any move by Israel to make anything for them is always met with stupid land grabbing and crticisim. Their leaders do not allow it. They knwo once the population gets used to good things then they wll walk away from fighting. They are kept hungry and stupid in order to fight. It happens in every Muslim country with most Arab leaders. Sounds like you do ot travel at all anywhere.
17. STEVE HAS GREAT POINT AND THE OTHER ONE WAS AS CLUELESS AS
IRANIAN JEW ,   LALA LAND   (12.29.16)
you. ARAB leaders do not want peace. They need dumb idiots to fight their wars while they are stealing from teh mass. The same goes for teh mullahs in Iran.
18. REALLY EVERYONE? I'M SURE HILLARY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT
IRANIAN JEW ,   LALA LAND   (12.29.16)
Are you saying that BO was so clueless and loowed this to happen? I love it how people assume how much power Israel has. Ask Erdogan and Saudis how it happened.
19. 10 million Arabs expelled in Syria. Israel do them the same.
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (12.29.16)
20. bibis answer to kerry ,an expected "own goal".
tomer ,   jerusalem   (12.29.16)
It came to no surprise that the prime minister answered John kerry, an outgoing
secretary of state, in the manner he did.
His answer confirms only what the US admistration fears and tried to avoid.
Israel is on its way to a "one state" solution, the wet dream of parts of the settler movement.
There are however israelis ,and not only a very few, who do not want to go down this road. For the sake of israels future, for the sake of our children and for the sake of our palestian neigbours we need annother approach.
The issue is within us. We israels have a democracy and we should first
and foremost decide which politicians we entrust with the future of our state.
Its not a question of left or right ,its a question which Party will offer a "roadmap" for the future,a plan and the will to persue that plan. Currently we leave the playing field to the " Fear spraying" greater israel faction.Empires went down this way. Israel is not an empire , we sometimes forget this as it looks. We are a strong, proud, creative people but we are blinded by our "high tech successes" and we prefer to enjoy the "day". At least a part of us.Our army is losing its "values" because of doing jobs they should not do,our kids get bad education and our sick are treated in a rotten health service. Our holocaust survivors are being forgotten, elderly living in in dire conditions. Our media and free speech are under attack and our high court
indepenpence is being threatened. And we live the "day" .
We put now all our cards in the " trump" basket. At first glance he seems to be the "messiah" our "greater israel" faction was waiting for. There have been a number a False "messiahs" over the centuries and i only hope that
in 50 years historians will not write : "there was once an Israel....."
