"illustrious". Kapo-mindset is something we have to overcome. One day, Inshallah, one day.....
2. Enough
Avi Barr ,   Philadelphia PA   (02.12.17)
In the past Israel always had bi-partisan support. But when Mr. Netanyahu disparaged Mr. Obama with his congressional visit he knew very well he was leaning towards the Republicans. He made a poor diplomatic decision. And he may loose for Israel. Nothing is forever. Build consensus. You do not know what tomorrow will bring.
As for what is occurring on college campuses, that is truly problematic. Someone, people in the know, should formulate a response to BDS. We are responding to them, we should show everyone who they are and what they are.
Stop attacking each other. Do not spew more hatred, even if you disagree. Because by default, the other side, BDS, Sanders, Corbyn et al WIN.

4. 99% responsibility for US Democratic anitpathy lays withBibi
Rafi ,   US   (02.11.17)
Over the years Netanyahu's actions & policies have done everything feasible to alienate US Democrats - and with them much of the large Amer Jewish community...

Not many enemies of Israel could have accomplished as much.

Was this Bibi's explicit objective? Of course not. So what motivated him to take such counter-intuitive and unhelpful actions from Israel's point of view?

Very simple- primary motivation for Netanyahu is always the same: stay in office by pleasing his base. Going back to his vilification of 6 Day War hero Y. Rabin, z"l as an "SS officer" in 1995 anti-Oslo rallies, virtually every Bibi action in Israel and abroad can be explained by this political necessity.

And because his base is so incredibly low-brow and ignorant of world realities... his strategy has succeeded beyond belief for himself - but at terrible cost for State of Israel.

Needless alienation of the important and longtime pro-Israel US Democratic Party is just one of the many casualties along the way!

7. It happened to Labour, it could happen in the US;
tiki ,   belgium   (02.12.17)
Question:
Where is Labour in the UK?
Where are the Democrats in the US?
Where is the Left in the EU?

All putting plasters on their bruised faces and blaming Israel!

Grovelling doesn't work, neither for the US, GB, EU or Israel.

Now it's a time for a time out.
No forced peace talks for talks or peace deals for deals.

Sometimes reflection is the best option..
8. The Left's love affair with the Anti-Israel DNC is old
Ben ,   Harrisburg   (02.12.17)
This has been going on way before Tump or Bibi for that matter. HRC herself can be a convenient antisemite for the right group and Money. Plenty of stories there. Truth being is that the moment Israel stopped being a super underdog with possible socialist/communist future, the left turned on them. As for American "progressive Jews" The RNC could put up Albert Einstein and the DNC could have Adolph Hitler and they would pull the "D" lever. Not that Trump is in any way shape or form Einstein, but the point is that the left is completely and absolutely blind to their faults.
9. "It could happen in the US as well. "
George ,   Manchester US   (02.13.17)
Thank you for publishing this important article. But unfortunately, It is already happening in the US.
It is very hard for the American Jews to adjust and accept the new reality. Israelis flags were burned outside of the last democratic convention while Palestinian flags were showing all over inside the D. convention. I disagree with Mr. Yemini about the danger from a fringe of antisemites that support Trump. We can see in Hollywood, campuses, media that the left are 10 fold more dangerous to the Jews and to the state of Israel.
10. Sadly, Sanders risks to be next president
Avi L.   (02.13.17)
The US politics risks to swing from an extrem to the other in its refusal of the system, from @right to @jihad
