1. If all you know about him is by the Senate hearing
Josh ,   USA   (02.22.17)
That does not show intellectual depth. It is funny how the reform Jews suffer from the political power of the religious parties, but THEY mix religion and politics. No
2. Sorry folks, the "argument": had it not been for the
(02.23.17)
the religious Israel/we wouldn't exists today is misleading at best. While it is true, SO WHAT?! Think about it: "you & me" wouldn't be here today, just as fictional children that may have been born, had my mom married the next door neighbor instead are not "here & now". Nobody misses them just as nobody would've "missed" us or Israel. Do you feel pangs of pain when thinking of the lost Inca-people? Same with Jews: the only one supposedly saddened by this would've been the Imaginary Friend....or would He?
3. Update: pot calls kettle black!
Jewess ,   Israel   (02.24.17)
Mr. Hendel really none of us were born yesterday....so we know that your comments and analysis falls short very short indeed! Shabbat Shalom is a Geo-political religious statement!
4. Reform has no future
Heshy Friedman ,   Brooklyn New York   (02.24.17)
Not so long ago the conservative were the largest movement of Jews in America, followed by the reform. Today the reform have become number one,not because they grew but because conservative declined. The reform too are declining and within ten years or less, the orthodox with their tremendous birth rate will be number one. The future of Americas Jews according to all experts are actually the ultra orthodox. They have families with 10 to 18 kids each. They may be the smallest of the three denominations but don't be fooled. The car going a hundred miles an hour will overtake the car ahead who is going five miles an hour. Surrounding and supporting Trump haven been the Orthodox Jews in America. Yes only 30 per cent Jews voted for him but it's the fastest growing group. Future is what counts.
5. nobody asked Thomas Friedman for the post lol
