2. question: how can peace be advanced
the arabs will never accept a jewish sovereign in the middle east.
the issues between the sovereign jewish state and the muslim world are too numerous and essentially difficult to be solved in the near future. those who talk about borders, fail to understand that the conflict is essentially religious in nature. hamas has made it very clear that it will not accept a jewish sovereign on any part of the land of israel. the hatred manifested by the shia terror regime of iran toward israel and the jewish people makes it evident that the conflict is not simply territorial. there is no territorial dispute between iran and israel. yet iran threatens israel existentially and continues to use its terror proxies hezbollah, hamas, islamic jihad, etc...,to wage unrelenting proxy wars against Israel.
