There is no way either the PA or Hamas can negotiate SEPARATE deals with Israel. Otherwise you end up a crazy half baked situation with 2 Palestines..one at peace and the other at war with Israel and in perpetual competition and rivalry with each other.

The ONLY way is for Hamas and PA to negotiate as ONE for a viable CONTIGUOUS and UNSEPARATED State with easily defined borders, geographically and socially integrated based on the 1999 Palestinian PEG Plan of a State of Palestine created in an expanded Gaza
2. israel not well led

shapira has written that bennett was theonly one who correctly asessed the situation in tghe gaza war. all others including yaalon and gantz wwere passive and disconnected no matter what they say now. lapid had no idea on what the hell was going on and knows nothing about the military. bibi is not far behind. my research in this matter has uncovered 2 allegations-1_ idf high command did not regard bibi as senior officer material 2) ehud barak, bibi's commanding officer said he did not react well to pressure and was indecisive. so his conduct in the gaza wars is therefore not surprising. he is not a warrior leader.

israel needs bennett or feiglin, certianly not a\lapid. and if israelis vote for lapid as as pm, then one can honestly say you want military misfortune. you want it.
