I think this is a "Kill them later policy"
Unless of course, they kill us first.
2. ANYONE stealing weapons should EXPECT to get shot.

I've never heard of such a stupidity. Someone stealing weapons from an IDF base must expect to be killed. These stolen weapons end up in the hands of criminals or terrorists, which means other Israelis will die.

I would like to know what genius ordered the original policy to NOT shoot thieves? THAT moron must be fired immediately.

"Moshe, I think I saw a few food service guys walk out of the armory with a dozen M-16s. What should we do? Our orders are not to shoot, so I suppose we can yell at them in a stern voice."

I wonder how many other stupid and dangerous policies like this are endangering our soldiers and citizens? What was the army thinking? Some heads need to roll for allowing such 'policies.'

how can you win a war with such limiting rules of engagement?? of course you shoot use force to stop weapns thieves and lethal force if necessary. if you want to be truly soverign, you have to defend borders.

the idf needs to wake up. Was ariel sharon theonly general who went into the field, took out maps and showed the younger lleaders how to go in and tke an area-and take it. what we have experienced in the gaza wars were geenerals who led from behind. get out into the field and show the kdis hows to softern and pacify areas before entering. stop being bleeding hearts.

and toughen up the training.even non combat soldiers should be trained in fighting.
