well when the Jews were forced out of the Jewish Quarter in 1948 by the British led forces, the Hashemites ensured the Jewish synagogues were destroyed.
The Temple Mount is Jewish history, that is why the Arabs in true fashion Islamised the property by building the mosque.
The relations between Israel and Jordan are not hot and never have been. I trust the present king as much Ias I did his father. Not at all.

It was Israel's government that was foolish enough to leave the guardianship of the Temple Mount with the Hashemite usurper.50 years have gone by,the arrangement isn't working and it's time for Israel's government to assert sovereignty and make a change that will benefit everybody.
The guardianship of the Temple Mount should immediately be transferred to the Ministry of Religious Affairs where it belongs.
The Jordanian government has NEVER had legal sovereignty and the guardianship is within Israel's gift,not the Hashemite usurper's.
