1. why are police hands tied
richard sherwin ,   herzliyah   (06.07.17)
thugs are thugs, in streimel or out. being jewish and pseudo religious doesnt make you outside the law. the law of the land IS the law of jews. if they dont like it, walk. or change it. or get a lawyer. but violence is something the country cannot allow them. it's the proper province of the police and the army, as instruments of the elected government. apply the laws to them. just as if they were non-jews terrorizing jews. or non-jews.

As others have asked-why are hands tied?

What would it take to get those hands untied and deal with the thugs?
4. gangs and cults
new yorker ,   NY   (06.08.17)
where else in the world would this be tolerated? where? though Rockland County NY puts up with a lot of BS from them as well; they are a monstrous force destroying Israel from the inside; such a shame.
5. Israeli society is on the verge of civil war. This only

encourages enemies like Hassan Nasrallah. Enough with the mamby-pamby. The next time these "haredim" riot, send in Yamam and bust a few heads. If that doesn't change their attitude, make an example by arresting their "rabbis" and locking them up for good. Shutter the "yeshivas" that are the bastions of this incitement. Stop the stipend payments and let them starve. If none of this works, expell them all, to the last, to Gaza. Maybe then they will realize how good they have it in Israel.
