Only secular states can sanitize religion from politics. What's needed, if you'd bothered to listen over the last half-century (www.netzarim.co.il), is Judaism anchored in historical fact, scientific archeology and logic to displace the Dark Ages superstitious Babylonian-to-European magical assimilations (idolatries) being taught in today's yeshivot.

I agree, there is no justification to include political comments during lessons, whether secular or religious. In general, religion is a personal choice, it is a private choice to participate in praying. Therefore, I see no harm if political discourse is used in private to enliven whatever the sterile praying offers, but not if it is a lecture conducted for the purpose of education.
