1. The Kotel
Zvi ,   Toronto   (06.21.17)
Did anybody asked Saraleh the Queen about Orthodox Conservatives and Reforms.
2. they do not live here, do not fight, do not pay taxes
C   (06.21.17)
their threats are similar to the threats of the nations who believe
that they can bully the jewish state.
these reform, conservative diaspora jews care more about
muslims displaced in their own countries than about
the jews in the sole sovereign jewish state.
they fail to understand that their safety and wellbeing
depends on the continued existence of a strong israel.
all the rest is just commentary.
3. The Kotel belongs to ALL Jews
Lorraine   (06.21.17)
The argument is often made by people defending the Orthodox position regarding Reform and Conservative worship at the Kotel, that Reform and Conservative Jews are not represented in Israel--most live outside the country--and therefore they should not get what they want. That is irrelevant. The doings of the Kotel are not dependent on the state of Israel or who lives there. The Kotel does not belong to Israeli Jews only, or to the state of Israel only, or to the Orthodox Jews only (wherever they come from). The Kotel belongs to ALL of the Jewish people--wherever they live. If there are disagreements among ALL the Jewish people--there have to be respectful negotiations to work things out--not appropriation of Jewish-owned places by some Jews only. And--the chances are that no one group of Jews will get everything they want as a result of negotiations--and they will all have to live with a certain disappointment *respectfully* towards their fellow Jews--and stop all the slurs. The slurring, insulting and appropriation of what belongs to all, all tend to come from certain parties. The next time those parties accuse other Jews of "sinat hinam" (the gratutious hatred among Jews which presumably caused the fall of the Second Temple), they might want to look in the mirror first.
4. No Salvation in a Wall
Bonnie ,   DC   (06.22.17)
The Temple wall will not help in the day of trouble. And it does not help now. No amount of praying at this wall brings anyone closer to God. Salvation is a personal matter between God and man. Yeshua is his name. He is the savior.
Isaiah Ch. 53 tells you about him.
