1. kol hakavod to Harav Lau
Yehezkel ,   Yerushalayim   (06.25.17)
Please note that the interviewer proved totally incapable of refuting any of the rav's cogent and logical replies to his repeated attacks on religion.
2. How can a man clearly so brilliant be so ignorant?
Daniel ,   Tel Aviv   (06.25.17)
To claim he doesn't understand the Pride Parade and that he supports conversion therapy tells me he is as much a bigot as the Nazi guard at Buchenwald. He just couches his bigotry in religion. To say he doesn't understand is his way of trying to justify his bigotry to himself and others. He couldn't retire fast enough for me. Hopefully Israel will stop kow-towing to black hats and finally recognize that being a Jewish state doesn't mean a religious theocracy. If we wanted that we'd move to Tehran
3. I attended a Brit he officiated. The word was "he was paid."
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.25.17)
Many people in Israel know how much those rabbis get paid privately to "supplement" their high pension from the government. It is much more than Holocaust survivors receive. Yet rav Lau never forgets to mention he is one of "those poor survivors."
4. #2 WHO ARE YOU CALLING IGNORANT ?
THEODORE HURTSEL ,   SAFED HONESTY   (06.25.17)
Just because a man does not understand why homosexuals have to have constant parades and trying to prove a point about how proud they are does not make him a bigot. By the way ,Israel was established as a JEWISH state , not a GAY state. If you do not like this fact , then San Francisco awaits you.
5. BUT WHY?
THEODORE HURTSEL ,   SAFED HONESTY   (06.25.17)
Why live here in Israel when there are so many countries to choose from? For the rude , brash and pushy people? for the constant threat of war and Terror? for the high cost of housing? for the angry political divides? if living a jewish life ,which translates to resting and chilling on shabbat ,the jewish sabbath ,and eating kosher foods ,if these things mean nothing then why live here? we live here because judaism is in the very soil .Don't like that fact? so go live in California or in Thailand .
6. SECULARS AND SABBATH
DA RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED RAP HOUSE   (06.25.17)
YO SECULAR PEOPLE: We work to live ,we do not live to work ,which is why The Almighty Hashem gave us the sabbath .
7. WHEN I WAS A BOY
CAPTAIN SARCASTIC ,   SAFED CYNIC HOUSE   (06.25.17)
I used to love flying kites ,all kinds and shapes of kite but my favourite kite was my jewish kite ,I called it yiddishkeit.
8. Rav Lau is a great man
C   (06.25.17)
most secular jews refuse to accept that israel is a jewish state.
they refuse to accept the few sacrifices that one needs to
make for there to be a jewish state.
ben gurion and rabin understood.
9. How can a man clearly so brilliant be so ignorant?

10. You misread the article
Marlene ,   Boca Raton, FL   (06.27.17)
Rabbi Lau said that he didn't know what conversion therapy was all about and didn't support something he knew nothing about. Here the part of the article that I copied: Rabbi Shlomo Aviner is in favor of referring gay people to conversion therapy.

“I don’t really know what that is and I don’t deal with issues I know nothing about. If a couple from the community had approached me for marriage purposes, I would have had to deal with the problem. But I have never been approached and haven’t been forced to deal with it, thank God. Preventing that or the parade is not in my hands, so I don’t delve into it.”

Wanna recant what you said about the rabbi, Daniel?
11. I find the religious to be intolerable insufferable people.
Al   (06.27.17)
Elitist arrogant and quite frankly full of themselves. In may cases selfish as well.

I would like to ask the schmeck of Mea Shearim just how far east Jerusalem is from their hood.

In Jerusalem young Israeli girls and boys are losing their lives defending these ingrate tinif against the Arabs who would slaughter them in a second.

Till such time that they actively participate in the defense of the country nothing they say or do will convince me otherwise of their duplicity.

Israel must move away from the theocracy it is fast becoming.

Israel was founded to be a free Jewish nation where all Jews are to be welcomed.

It is not the sole domain of these leaches.

Demographics aside these ultra orthoquack bring nothing to the table but collective grief to the Jewish nation. In fact they are setting the stage for Israels destruction.
12. Outpouring of hate on this site disgusting
Not-theWholeStory ,   Jerusalem Israel   (06.27.17)
The facts are more hopeful the religious population is the fastest
growing of any in Israel and an even new group has been
added according the bureau of statistics "Baalei Tshuva" Jews
not number 270,000 ! and are creating their own communities
all over the country Kibbutzim are opening synagogues
demographics demographics demographics the only thing
that counts in this life ,,have faith the change is coming
YNET will not print this but it wont change the facts
13. Wrong question: "will there be anything left of the Jewish
(06.29.17)
State" after followers of the Imaginary Friend have their way with us: the sane & secular ? I mean no disrespect to our brilliant Judaism (that as religions go is a exceptionally bright and humane one).
