1. Mrs.Kadmon is simply bemoaning the fact that previous,
leftist hegemony in the public sphere is slowly being replaced by patriotic, rightist elements. That's why we have election and government changes. It is that oh-so-cherished "democracy" the leftist zombies invoke every time they brazenly trample on our freedoms.
2. I don't know why anybody would want to be a leader
Jackieboy   (06.29.17)
It seems we just elect people to be considered criminal in chief hoping he will be dragged from office so the next party's guy can be put in etc. It sounds like the High Priesthood of Nemi. That's what democracy has come to.
3. Imbecile Kadmon is whining when shoe is on the other foot

4. sima is out of her depth

olmert got a light sentence. the court has to be seen to be fair. olmert did not appear to be remorseful if i recall correcctly. the prosecutor is now invesigation whehter olmert was holding classified info improperly whichmay be a crime on top of his sentence that he serving. shaked, marzel and now sima are not the triers of fact in this matter or police investigators. so their pleas for mercy are misplaced. you tell the families of 160 israelis to show mercy to olmert, the 160 dead because this security flop bungled the hezbollah war. so don't tell me about mercy.olmert got off lightly.
Ehud Omelette was caught red=handed ,he has egg on his face.
6. Only one short statement counts...
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.29.17)
This Op-Ed is almost nothing but a political plea.

The one short statement, not emphasized properly is:
"The troubling thing is that the gatekeepers are increasingly becoming the government’s servants...Every day, we witness a new command from the thought commissars: Cancelling shows, introducing an ethical code for universities, raiding a publishing house and confiscating documents. "

"Who shall guard the guardians?" Is not a new concept: "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" is a Latin phrase found in the work of the Roman poet Juvenal from his Satires (Satire VI, lines 347–348).

It is an idea that must be always in the forefront of our minds in an aspiring democracy - and let's not fool ourselves, Israel is but an aspiring democracy.
We have yet to find a true balance in government, a true equality of all our people, a real ability to influence the decisions our lawmakers enforce...
7. Corrupt/ Traitor
mario ,   Porat   (06.29.17)
Dear Sima Kadmon. A public person at the Olmert level, if is corrupt, always is and will be a Traitor.....
8. israel court is rotten to the core along with the politician
jerzy   (06.29.17)
anyone other than olmert would have gottne more than the short sentence handed down to olmert, a little over 1 year time served for huge crime. so what does the prosecutor do with the early parole? He looks the other way and forgoes the classified document issue. israel is rotting with corruption and cronyism and this includes in my opinion some other politicans though it is only suspicion at this point.

it is easy to forget how poorly olmert led during the hezbollah war. nasrollah was much much better as he is also much better than bibi, livni, lapid and herzog.feiglin correctly sheds no tears for olmert and he seems to be the only one standing apart from him.

fegilin far exceeds bibi in his ability to lead the state and the idf.
