In this case why should the public defend at the tune of billions private profits?
Build hospitals instead, social housings, it will living for tens of thousands of families.

3. Taking gas out of the ground is not a good idea.

Investors will take profits now at the expense of a future. When that gas is burnt into the atmosphere it will cause the planet to heat up and upset the balance of Nature. Scientists project an increase temperature of 6 to 7 degrees Celsius over the normal by 2100, if not sooner. Human beings will not survive those temperatures. Blindly plundering the planet is not a solution.
