This isn't the first time Jews/Israelis have tried to help Muslims in distress?
It is a humane and proper thing to do..I'm sure it will be rewarded by curses, stones, bullets, knives, and rockets.

Despite whatever animosity existed between Syria and Israel, the amazing young men and women of the IDF continually make me proud of them, especially during endeavors like this. The initiative was taken by the soldiers stationed on the Golan who could not bear to see the carnage and misery crawling up to our border and pleading for help. Kudos to the IDF leadership for expanding these fine soldiers' heartfelt actions and intentions. May our enemies, and their enemies, learn from this and help make this world a little less barbaric [sic - Roman should be the correct term].

It only shows who really Israelites are. Leave Israel alone and the whole region will thrive.
