for the Chinese, I guess?

underground walls-fine. but be cautious of fences as an overall strategy. idf has to have a forward swashbuckling strategy, not a sit in fixed positions waiting for nasrollah's goons or hamasniks to come.

bibi endorses this strategy because he is not a real fighter. he prefers to lay back and be behind fences just like herzog and ramon. israel could not win wiht the bar lev line in 73 and had to break out as sharon and others proposed over the objections of even bar lev at the beginning. bibi is no warrier and does not think of lets attack, bypass and seize.
3. Hydrophone sensor network

I believe a network of shallow and deep hydrophone sensors in addition to your plans would be the most effective in countering tunnel activity. A border is what soldiers risk their lives protecting. It makes no sense to me to have a military force if we leave our borders unprotected both above and below.
