This is so wrong on so many levels. Three Israelis butchered. Life in prison is not a punishment that fits the crime. It will cost Israel 150,000 shekels (or more) a year to incarcerate this killer. He's a young guy so he could easily live another 65 years. That's almost 10 MILLION shekels wasted on keeping this dirtbag in prison.
That money could be used for affordable housing, medical research, emergency services, etc.
The State should have a vote to decide if the death penalty is proper for terrorists who commit murder. Let the people decide.
At the least, Israel must deduct all costs of terrorist prisoner incarcerations from funds paid to the PA. Since Abbas and his imams incite the Arabs to commit terror, the least the PA can do is to pay for their incarcerations, in full.
This IDF guy is mistaken, the people decide who lives and who dies. An executed terrorist will never again kill innocent Israelis. An executed terrorist will never be swapped for a kidnap victim. In the case of terrorist killers, an eye for an eye is the best policy. It's the only way t be sure. (Thank you, Ripley.)
