1. Obama? The man is gone get over it
MadDad ,   Johannesburg   (08.29.17)
And along with him went his useless foreign policies that has brought chaos to the world as he didn't have a clue
2. There is a difference
DSM ,   USA   (08.29.17)
Obama was a Muslim and hated Israel. Trump is neither a Muslim nor hater. The problem is, and had been for decades, the State Department which has always been pro Arab and did not even want Truman to vote yes for the statehood of Israel.
3. Indeed, the behavior of USA is hard to fathom. It has
(08.29.17)
willingly abandoned it's leading role, led bad policies all around the world...why?
As to "friendship" with Israel (or anyone else for that matter): there is no such thing.
Surely the US will look out for its own interests, or at least IT SHOULD DO SO.
But it doesn't even do that!
4. owner
jos rechtman ,   la   (08.29.17)
one one will save you until you save yourself. We will only have ourselves to blame.
5. Just like before?
Brad   (08.29.17)
Excuse me Hendel, but just which country on the verge of nuclear capability, did Obama order a strike against? That would be none. In fact Obama helped Iran by giving away the farm with his, so called, great deal which demanded nothing from Iran and flooded them with previously frozen cash. Of course you would've remembered that except that your only desire was to bash President Trump. The media in Israel is just as much a cartoon as it is in the U.S.
6. This is not a bad thing
Empress Trudy ,   Raleigh   (08.29.17)
The interests of Israel and the US must diverge
7. Trump has become Kim Jong-Uns poodle, he trades
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (08.29.17)
North Korea FIRST and the US second...
Of course, he doesn't give a dime for Israel.
8. very accurate comments by hendel
geroge   (08.29.17)
hendel hit the nail on the head. israel is on its own, forget about trump and his jewish inlaws-they will be of no help. worse, israel has a pm who needs usa to do its work for it be it iran, syria or foreign troops on the golan. bibi on his own cannot pull the triggers for such action. and lieberman for all his bluster may not be much better.sharon could do it.bennett could do it. feiglin for sure can do it ie look at the battlefield with a dry eye-lets go.

bibi in a thousand years cannot do this. this is why he complains to gutierres, being played the fool by putin who is in bed with iran and syria, and trump-who will tell israel - you are on your own.

hendel has it right. bibi must be replaced and soon or likud will implode.
9. Can't you all see WHY?
Heshy Friedman ,   Brooklyn ny   (08.29.17)
Can't you all see.
It's not who is in charge of America. It's how observant Jews are of the Torah my friends. It's all from Heaven. If we walk in the ways of the Torah even Obama could not hurt us and if we don't then Trump and all his Zionist family and friends could not help us. If we allow the continuous rebellion against Torah observance then expect a cold shoulder from America. It's simple.
10. Have you been thrown to the wolves?
Cameron   (08.29.17)
The US play villain & turn you into a sacrificial lamb?

Really?

11. Hendel is to be taken seriously, even when we disagree!
(08.29.17)
12. In politics there are no friends, only interests.
tiki ,   belgium   (08.29.17)
America first!
Russia first!
Iran first!
N Korea first!
S Korea first!
Germany first!
France first!
Japan first!
Ukraine first
etc.etc.etc.etc.

That's why the EU concept doesn't work.
The people hate it when their deep rooted national interests are touched.

That's why there are conflicts.

Only Israel, with it's Jewish Ghetto mentality still believes it must appease all.

The only answer is of course.....ISRAEL FIRST!
13. The nincompup trying to survive by all means. Why the blame?
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.29.17)
He is trying to do the best he can and is falling apart. Feel sorry for him, he shouldn't be at this job to start with. Never blame the person (or a country) which is trying to survive, every one of us would have done it in their place also.
14. very sharp & accurate assessment
Rafi ,   US   (08.29.17)
our Jewish right-wing nuts are shocked & in a quandary about their hero-moron Donald Trump... after their blind hate of Obama led them into the wilderness.

You guys were and have always been idiots. Next tell us how good fascism is for the Jews...
15. Our best friends won't do Israel's work for us
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.29.17)
It is obvious to any objective observer that the Trump administration is far friendlier to Israel than the previous Democrat one. However, Hendel is correct that Israel need to shoulder our own defense responsibilities. Even our best friends won't do Israel's work for us. Nor should we expect them to do so. They will support us, but it is up to us to do the work, like a proud sovereign state. Israel needs to do what must be done regarding our Iranian and "Palestinian" foes.
