Assad is not going to respond to this attack by Israel he is still in the middle of a civil war and even with Russian help he cannot take on both Israel and the rebels trying to topple him.
He was no match for the IDF before the war so he certainly cannot go head-head with the IDF now and Putin doesn't mind killing a few civilians in Aleppo but he doesn't want to get involved in an all out war with Israell for Assads benefit especially as Israel's patron is America.

Ten years ago Israel destroyed Assads covert nuclear reactor and that was much more high profile but Assad didn't want to go to war with Israel so a deal was done whereby Israel didn't boast he would not threaten and risk a war.
