It was written down after at least a 1000 years of oral tradition, but still, there is a document, the Old Testament. And it has many mistakes in it, such as "the chosen people" or that there is "one god." Even the Ten Commandments are a farce since they are 90 percent obvious to any ethical person without any religion.
The real value of the Old Testament is in making us think, making us formulate our PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE. Judge Ginsburg and I, and millions of others like us, have formulated a philosophy of life that guides us to live with INDIVIDUAL ethical principles that make us happy. And that's all we need, that's absolutely enough.
