6. Hezbollah and Iran

Yedioth Aharonoth (Ynet) states:

"There are currently some 8,000 Hezbollah fighters, 1,500 Iranian Revolutionary Guards troops and some 10,000 Shiite militiamen in Syria."

Yes, and the fundamental question is, if IDF and Israel know about it, why is it, that 8000 Hezbollah terrorists, 1500 Iranian Revolutionary Guards troops and some 10000 Shiite militiamen in Syria, are still living and breathing as we speak?

Is Ynet, with IDF's and the authorities' permission, publishing these figures because you are teaching elementary school children basic arithmetics, because you wish to instill fear into Israelis/Jews and destroy their morale, or because you merely wish to keep your readers informed?

My question is directed to Ynet, but primarily to Israel's military and political top echelon.

No war has ever been won by merely counting your enemy soldiers. The basic idea of enemy soldiers, is that their numbers should be reduced to an absolute minimum, and they should make a transition from a vertical position to a horizontal position at least 2-3 meters below ground.
