bibi cannot undertake any bold moves in security or diolomacy. if trump pressures bibi into concessions, he will deliver herzog and gabbay style concessions on west bank and east jerusalem. bibi is very weak at his core. going to the gym, being fit, playing soccer, getting shot twice has not strengthened this man, rather he is who he is, insecure, indecisive, lacks leadership, does not understand the battlefield. his opposition except for bennett and feiglin is weaker than bibi and that is why he is still pm.

obama was arabic and moslem in everyting he did. so he felt more comfortable with arabs than jews and that is his right. no one should be so surprised. he demanded concessions of israel that he simply ignored on abbas's side because he is famlily with the arabs.

one of the problems is that bibi was unable to look him in the eye and say NO. rather he tried to appease him by freezing temporarily settlements which he has been doing ever since and offering some symbolic acts. who why didn't he say no to obama directly ie we are not leaving the jordan valley-ever for example or the samarian and judean ridges, becasue bibi has genurine fear.. whether he was coddled by his parents, he is simply even today fearful. and it is too late to expect him to change.

He hasn't done anything for the US except make himself the most popular person with entertainment value. Ask yourselves why his home town of of NYC voted 579,013 for Clinton and 64,929 for Trump.

And Obama has to shoulder the blame. Assad wins too big. There was no need ever for Israel to fear Assad, especially if the US attacked, but now he's got Russia Iran and Hezbolla, so he's cockier than ever. Now everybody can live in fear of the consequences, even nuclear, of a move by a petty dictator. No exceptions.

For 8 years, Israel faced the most hostile and destructive U.S. administration in history. Thankfully, those days are over. Trump is a huge improvement over Obama in every way. But Israel can't expect Trump, or anyone else, to solve our problems. We need to act as a self respecting sovereign state and our real friends will support us.

He's no bargain for Israel... all puffery & buffoonery. Is that supposed to be an improvement?

Obama was not the best Pres, and particularly weak in foreign policy. But at least he was stable & predictable.

And - if we're talking substance - the most hostile Pres for Israel - and among the worst ever for America - remains Jimney Carter.
