1. Yeah Right - Kerry was a slick negotiator
MadDad ,   Johannesburg   (10.11.17)
He was so desperate to get the deal done before Obama left office with a legacy that he gave Iran everything they wanted for nothing in return
He paved the way for Iran to get nukes and ignored the fact that Iran is the biggest exporter of terror in the world
What a lame article this is

Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (10.12.17)
Sure the diplomatic and sanctions tracks should be persued but in the meantime Israel is not sitting idle.

Israel, NK, France, India, Pakistan it took them 10 to 15 years from start to achieve nuclear weapons.

Iran's nuclear program began in 1975 and 42 years later is in a maybe status.
Why do you think is that?

moishe   (10.12.17)
force comes in two flavors, real and threat. and don't threaten unless you can back it up. might is right if you win. the victor writes the definitive account of the war. Iranian leaders should read more history. so should Iranians.

8. Vietnam is a secular country, Iran is a theocracy
Avi L.   (10.12.17)
Vietnam is a secular country, Iran is a theocracy which is waiting for some 12th obscure figure to bring shias to world domination after having destroyed the little and great satans (US and Israel).

20th century dictatorship were a moment in western history that, since the 15th century, was going towards rationality and secularism.

The islamic world has still in a medieval outlook on the world where religion was the central point of society.

No matter what islamists will bite back the hand.

10. Using force is not always the answer? Your analysis is naive
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv   (10.13.17)
What "force" has the West used against Iran? Iran's nuclear program is intact, it's regime is in power, the Ayatollah still not dethroned, it's people oppressed by the theocratic Iranian police state, Iran calls daily for Israel's destruction and has threatened to destroy Israel since 1979, when the last Shah of Iran - Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, was toppled and dethroned by the ayatollahs.

Iran's grip and control over Iraq, Syria and Yemen are getting stronger for each passing year.

All of this has happened precisely because the West has used no force. The rise of the neo-Iranian empire was possible precisely because there was no military pressure on Iran.

Force is not always the answer? When you're dealing with intransigent militant fanatics, the answer is always force.

WW1, WW2 were settled with force. So where hundreds of wars in Europe for past 1000 years or so. So were the Arab-Israeli war since 1948.

Either the Iranians need to topple their regime and replace it with a secular liberal Western democracy, or the West needs to bombard Iran out of its existence. It's either or. Fix or nix, but status quo is out of the question.
11. Indeed, sometimes even more force is needed!
