it was very foolish to allow russian antivirus software in pc's used in the
us and other western countries.
of course, this did happen under obama. one will be forgiven to
wonder whether certain intelligence failures were the result
of policy decisions. russia did warn the us about the tsarnaev
brothers, but nothing was done.
still one must remember that us intelligence services did not even exist
at the start of wwii.
the us intelligence services are way behind the curb largely because
of general american naivte and general culture.
the russians have among the best intelligence services.
they are very good at infiltrating illegals and sleeper cells.
the russians have had a good intelligence service already under
the tzars. but they also had a very autocratic regime till today.
