1. The flawed Iran deal

The flawed Iran deal doesn't stop or prevent Iran from geting nuclear weapons. It only postpones it.
International agreements can be made and they can also be unmade. These agreements were signed by human beings of flesh and blood. Nothing holy or sacred here.
Human lives, world peace and the prevention of a nuclear arms race in the Middle East are more important than documents, papers and agreements.
The reason WHY Russia, China and the EU states don't want to tear up the Iran treaty IS NOT because they "genuinely believe" the treaty will stop Iranian nukes. They want the treaty because they have very cosy business relations with Iran.
The countries that Iran is directly threatening - Israel, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States, are the countries who are directly opposed to the Iran deal.
If some Israeli defense officials believe the Iran deal should be preserved they should either have their heads examined or be fired from their positions, and be punished for high treason against our country

3. Iran deal is not an "international agreement"
1 iran never signed this deal. 2 the united states senate never ratified this deal. obama and kahmeini never signed it. therefore, as stated by the us state department, the deal is neither a treaty nor an executive agreement. 3 since the deal is not a treaty, it is not legally binding under us law. 4 it is because this deal is not a treaty binding under us law that the president was required to certify that iran was in compliance with the terms of the deal. 5 since president trump has refused to certify the deal, it is now up to congress to decide whether to reimpose sanctions on iran.

4. Michael Horowitz, FB, correct
the iran deal is not a legally binding treaty under us law sice it was not ratified by the us senate. furthermore, iran itself never ratified the deal.
neither obama nor khameini signed the deal. therefore, the deal is not even an executive agreement. as stated by the state department, the deal is a non-binding political agreement.
the deal itself is extremely flawed and favours iran. iran can continue to enrich uranium. iran can continue r&d on advanced centrifuges. iran can refuse international inspections in military sites, as well as in secret sites. samples taken from nuclear sites will be done by iranian scientists, not by members of the iaea. iran has twenty four days during which it decides whether to let in inspectors to military and newly discovered nuclear sites. the entire deal will expire in thirteen years. during the duration of deal, iran will have time to develop and to build components of a nuclear weapon which then iran can put together rapidly. iran has no incentive to renegotiate the deal since it has received all sanction reliefs.
