3. Work of imagination

Barnea's mind is hard at work trying to imagine what this and that person in thinking, but since there is no way to know, the article contains a minimum of actual information. It is not enough that Alsheikh has cut down on leaks, if he has; he must also find and discipline whoever was leaking in the past. And why is no journalist, instead of lapping up leaks, asking such questions as: Was it not absurd from the beginning to treat a gift of occasional cigars as attempted bribery? Why is the investigation going on and on although it has obviously failed to find evidence that will stand up in court? How can the police claim that Milchan's interrogation advanced the investigation when Milchan plainly told them that he had received no favors from Netanyahu? More and more it looks like the case of Liberman, who was pestered for a decade with investigations that, in the end, led to only one indictment on which he was unanimously acquitted. But the media never asked: Should anyone be treated like that?
