The mounted troops in the last photo (Anzacs riding through Be'er Sheva in 1917) look more like Turks than Australian Light Horse - no Slouch hats and Ostrich Feathers more like the Turkish hats of the period

These men were nothing more or less than modern crusaders they began the liberation of our Land.
Saluting them and their descendants!
