outlived its usefulness for Jewish survival. We are now a collective joined by land and faith. They need to join in. The old ways are are not needed now. God can hear us from the new nation, not from the isolated shtetel.

Are the disabled still protesting? Why don't you report on them? They were also blocking roads - main arteries - and outside the Knesset. But it's not politically correct to criticize the "physically challenged" is it? However, haredi-bashing is extremely fashionable.

In fact, Peleg have continued their protests and still are protesting, but in a different form. They have established a yeshivah outside the military prison where some 44 of their students are incarcerated. But the media is not reporting on this - they only want to make the haredim look bad, and that wouldn't serve their purpose.
Port workers strike for more money. Disabled block roads for more money. Haredim block roads for ideological reasons - and look who gets yelled at.

They exacted a price tag for government resistance-the indefinite delay of the express train to Tel Aviv. Expect things to heat up again once the prime minister and mayoral races get going next year. There is a year for the court's ruling to be fulfilled. They are keeping their powder dry to fight that.
