Can we please get this guy off the front page of the papers and leave him in prison to serve his minimal sentence. Libermann is playing to his supporters and votes. The guy is an embarrassment to Israel and the IDF. He was already shown leniency for taking a life and lying and blackened the reputation of the Army and some fine officers. His behavior after the incident requires a sentence of several years. He and his family still believe he was right and have never thought about taking a human life, which he did not have the right to take.

G-d will take his vengeance sometime down the road.Let the guy serve his sentence and then lets forget he ever existed. Those who honor him do not deal with reality and their hatred colors their judgement.

what mercy did azaria show when he killed in cold blood a terrorist that was under control? he still has not learned a thing in prison. all life is precious and when we begin to take it for granted by claiming the higher ground, we have to question ourselves as a society and the actions we condone on moral basis. azaria has obviously not done any critical thinking or soul searching while in prison which is what should be the natural response to his conviction. the whole affair is sad and a shame to him, the IDF and the country.
