Was the grilling done on a one to one basis ?Were legal representatives there to support the legality of the questions raised ? Should Israel adopt a 5 th amendment whereby self incrimination is not permitted ?
2. netanyahu vs lapid
maury   (11.20.17)
if you watch bibi interview with chatham house and compare that to lapid's interview with charlie rose of years ago, there is no comparison. lapid who learned his politics at the feet of his father and buddy olmert with their concession policies and bibi who will not let go of the security card, it is clear that lapid is miles behind bibi in real terms.

so while the public wants a change, to go to lapid is sheer madness and you can say welcome to hamastan on the west bank and unbelievable arms transfer across the jordan river.
3. Investigation slowly collapsing
Shalom ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.20.17)
This whole investigation is slowly collapsing. It was only recently that the police questioned Milchan under caution, realizing belatedly that they could not treat Netanyahu as suspected of receiving bribes without treating Milchan as suspected of giving them. The clever lawyers will be able to claim invalidity of all of Milchan's previous testimony. So bribery is probably out. A charge of "illicit benefits" may also fail, due to the vagueness of the concept, or lead at most to a sentence of a few months of community service, like tidying up public parks in his spare time. Since that would require closing the park to the public and deploying vast security, perhaps it could be commuted to Bibi-babysitting?
