reward. Iran and the Russian are strengthening their partnership that spans from arms dealings, into economic cooperation. the Iranians rightfully remember history and distrust the Russians but they are smart enough to build on the relationship while it works even though the Iranians are bamboozled by the Russians for the time being. The reward will be to reconstruct Syria, get a foothold in a new middle eastern silk road and shipping lanes that the Iranians and the Russians could help to preserve and control, the importance of the land bridge wont be to only supply weapons to hizballah. It can extend to secure the exploitation of oil and gas fields and the ability to set prices independently. The American order is fading and both the Russians and the Iranians have a vested interest in preserving and developing their assets and get the region to compromise with them on better terms. They will not vanish or be bombed into the abyss, this may not in some countries interest and here goes the insulting "destabilizing behaviour talking point" as if a country is a mad animal. Some policies may misguided but they are "policies". Should the Russians, the Iranians and the chinese one day incite countries to drop the USD as the currency to trade oil and gas or else, it could end the privilege of the amercians to live beyond their means at the expense of the whole world and dare to sanction countries on unilateral terms while they have trillions of unfunded entitlements at home. Even that iranian regime has ordered hizballah not to ignite a war with Israel for the past ten years. With or without that regime the two sunrise powers in the middle east are iran and Israel and they should reach an understanding until the moment iran has a glasnost, perestroika event. Even a democratic iran would not act as the Saudi vassals or bend in a servile fashion when one hears illegitimate claims about a country's sovereign right to defend itself through conventional means. The antagonizing of Israel and the US is self-defeating (except in economic or scientific competition), even some in the regime have come to their senses but things cannot change overnight, there needs another strong leadership in both countries to engage diplomatically - unfortunately the eras of the great leaders is long gone everywhere. Shalom

That is oil & gas that could flow from Israel to TUrkey and EU. VLAD and the supreme mullah don’t want that to happen. That si the real reason of war in Syria,
