All the turmoil around Israel means that its enemies are wearing each other out.

This guarantees that Israel remains untouched as long as it stays out of the regional quagmire.

Fishman produces good analysis but he is too cynical and i can appreciate that. He shouldnt give up on the people of this forsaken region. A political vision is meeded. I still idealistically force myself to believe that the future lies in an institutionalized multilateral cooperation region-wide - i would like it inclusive of all even though it wont be realistically - in oil and gas projects, education, security, the environment etc. A political vision based on multilateral economic cooperation creating the required interdependence that will tone down conflicts,a sort of how the common market started in the eu and the barcellona proces could be a starting point.
