to find out the capabilities of the state-of-the-art Russian weapons. Every time a missile hits a target in Syria, Israel learns more about Russian weaponry and how to defeat them. I wonder if Iran is paying attention? If Israel is ever forced to attack the Mullahpaths in their bunkers, the Russian weaponry will present no obstacle. Jeesh, you listen to Syrian media, you'd think they shot down the entire IAF. If 40 year old missiles could do this, just imagine what the newest toys the IDF has at its disposal can do.
To all the poor scientists and engineers in Syrian weapons facilities, please make sure your wills are up to date. Your lifespan just got noticeably shorter.
