1. Senator Moynihan not Senator Patrick
Dr. Edgar Pick ,   Tel Aviv   (12.06.17)
The name of the great friend of Israel and Democratic Senator for New York was Daniel Patrick Moynihan, not Daniel Patrick.
2. Horrible article. Trump is doing a wonderful thing!
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.06.17)
Whenever someone does something good for Israel, death wish leftist idiots, like Fromer, always put them down. Instead of thanking them. By recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and planning to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, Trump is doing a wonderful thing. G'd bless him. On the other hand, Fromer should not be allowed to teach anywhere in Israel. Our youth deserve to be taught by self respecting patriots.
3. Sorry Prof. you are wrong
Ghilmeini ,   USA   (12.06.17)
The Palestinians have never paid a price for their intransigence. They, not Israel are the barrier to peace. They never stopped whispering peace in English while screaming for war and terror in Arabic. This is why peace failed in 2001, 2001, 2007 2008 and 2014.

Nothing in the last 15 years has done more for the cause than this because reality and power are the only things that can move Palestinians out of their radical failed politics that make peace impossible.

So well done Mr. Trump.

4. No way telling if Lunatic Left will recover from this!

5. Youare the reason Israel is stuck with the palestinian issue
Delia B Bornsztein ,   Saint Paul   (12.06.17)
Oh! all these liberal leftist "professors", they call themselves DOCTORS! Mr Trump is doing what should have been done 20 years ago! There cannot be PEACE with murderous leaches. People who brain wash their children to hate and kill and have children ONLY for the purpose of using them as ammunition against the Jews, those people are not to be taken seriously as peace partners. Mr Trump knows it, but YOU, Mr DOCTOR of Philosophy and History, YOU do NOT. Jerusalem IS the undivided CAPITAL of ISRAEL and it is NOW that the real battle begins, thanks to Trump. It is time the Jewish people kick the asses of Islam once and for all.
6. Fromer capitulation to Arab terroristic threats is appalling

8. The end of everything the EU and Obama worked for

9. Nonsense
howiej ,   USA   (12.06.17)
I would hate to have to use this article in my resume to prove my expertise in history or politics. Starting with the failure to use the correct name of Sen. Moynihan and continuing to declare that the Jerusalem Embassy Act "wasn't supposed to be executed", with more poor fact in-between. Per haps this move will prove to the Arabs that Trump is not Obama and they should start to act more seriously to end their conflicts before Trump takes additional unilateral actions.
10. Don't go left if you want to be right
FreeZion ,   Tel Aviv   (12.06.17)
"it’s important to remember that the Jerusalem Embassy Act was born by mistake". You are the one that was born by mistake Mr Fromer. You think The US and Israel should refrain from "inflamming the Arab streets"? You may fear the Arab street but there are proud people in Israel and the US who do not want to have their policies dictated by the decadent and violent Arab and Muslim world. If you want to bow to Arabs and Muslims you should move to Europe. Plenty of cowards like you over there. I say we need to show their true faces. Declare Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel. Move all embassies to Jerusalem. Organize a Mohammed caricature competition. Whatever makes Islam show it's true face. Arabs and Muslims do not need an excuse to be violent, they were born and bred that way. It's time to rid the world of this epidemic fake religion.
11. An historic step
bob kirk ,   Santa Barbara CA   (12.06.17)
A brave political decision. Trump's announcement recognizes the fact that Israel's seat of government is Jerusalem as it was 3000 years ago. The Palestinians threaten violence thus showing their opposition to peace. The Palestinian Authority was offered east Jerusalem in 2000 by then PM Ehud Barak and from 2004-6 by then PM Ehud Olmert. The PA consistently refused these offers thus demonstrating that they prefer to blame Israel for the lack of peace. We should not expect a rapid transition process but the necessary historic decision has been taken. If Arab terror is the result then the Palestinians will be the political losers. Finally, the senator who initially proposed the Jerusalem bill was Senator Daniel Patrick Moniyhan whose last name was omitted in this piece.
12. Thank you Trump.
naro   (12.06.17)
The writer of the article is completely insane. Trump created a new reality, but yet left room for compromise on the exact borders of Jerusalem. Brilliant Trump
13. It's a shame the West didn't do it decades ago!
Mr.Reason ,   USA   (12.06.17)
Even Russia several month ago has recognized Jerusalem to be a Israels capitol. That does not mean, that the Arab Israel conflict can't be resolved. But it does speak out, what should have been done in 1948! Those over-intellectual professors don't understand, that a fully sovereign and militarized Palestine is only what Abbas will accept, and Israel can't ever accept. Therefore, the only solution for the conflict, is to disperse the so called Palestinians to the various Arab countries, Europe, USA, as it happened with Syrians, etc. That's it. Arabs have 22 Countries, there is no need for a 23rd one. Enough keeping this artificial conflict at the cost of all involved to the benefit of some questionable oligarchs, where ever they reside.
14. Dr in rubbish, don't waste time of the readers
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto -Kiriat Gat   (12.06.17)
Outrage article, as political outcry on international front it's to delegitimize Israel .
This is right move to stop it, first of all , secondary for Pal should be clear, next stage of their intransigence passed all the limits.
