The ambassador, as well as the embassy, will remain in Tel Aviv for the foreseeable future, and an American born today in Jerusalem does not have Israel listed on either the birth certificate or passport. Yes, a fine declaration.

I would be more impressed if instead of carrying on about POTUS 44, you would call out POTUS 45 for his empty statement on Jerusalem.
If POTUS 45 were making a REAL statement and US policy change on Jerusalem then POTUS 45 would have ordered the US State Department to:
1. immediately change ALL birth certificates of ALL US Citizens born in Jerusalem read Place of Birth: Jerusalem, Israel
2. immediately change ALL US Passports of ALL US Citizens born in Jerusalem read Place of Birth: Jerusalem, Israel
Yes, "Jerusalem, Israel" instead of "Jerusalem, Jerusalem" which is what those two documents read today.

If POTUS 45 were making a REAL statement and policy change on Jerusalem then POTUS 45 would move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem instead of signing his second (2nd) Presidential Waiver preventing that move for another 6 months.

If POTUS 45 were making a REAL statement and policy change on Jerusalem then POTUS 45 would quickly choose one of the four (4) properties that the US already owns in Jerusalem and re-purpose it and turn it into the US Embassy.

In other words, POTUS 45 forces me to quote Israeli Minister of Culture and Sport, IDF Brigadier-General (retired), Member of Knesset Ms. Regev: "Cut the Bull$hit!"
In closing please do allow me to ask you: what are you all excited about? ...POTUS 45 is NOT actually doing ANYTHING substantive for Jerusalem, Israel.

Instead of using "the best words" POTUS 45 should issue real policy changes for Jerusalem...because otherwise all he is doing is spitting into the wind and calling it rain!
