1. Pals dont want any honest brokers. They only want some "power
Alan   (12.27.17)
such as EU or USA or China+Russia or UNSC or Hague "Court" to FORCE Israel to hand over whatever they want in their FIRST PHASE .... THEN they will turn Judea and Shomron into a GAZA or Lebanon with daily rockets on BG Airport and Coastal plain and Jerusalem areas
2. Shaked is another scaremonger masquerading as scholar
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (12.27.17)
No bi national state when all Arabs are repatriated to Arabia
3. Flawed analysis
Max Neufeld   (12.27.17)
The fatal flaw of this analysis is that it parrots the false narrative pedaled by the UN, EU and news organizations that the 'Palestinians' desire a state via some two state vision. The reality is that all they want is the destruction of Israel. Beyond that they have no vision for "the day after."

Abbas will continue his shenanigans at the UN and elsewhere because the last thing he wants is a 'Palestinian' state that doesn't include the destruction of Israel. That is why he fears having the US as a mediator, because he understands that the current administration actually has the desire to get things done and won't play the game of pandering to his pouty nothingness.
4. As if pals were interested in negotiations

5. ..."diplomatic toolbox"... joke of the century your brabbel
epo   (12.27.17)
as long as the US vetoes the UN majority, a thing called "diplomatic toolbox" can be shoved elsewhere...

the vast majority of this planet does support a palestinian state.
6. Another leftist trying to scare Israelis
Sam ,   Montreal   (12.27.17)
Sounds like a leftist Haaretz writer trying to frighten Jews. The alternative to the 2 state solution is the political status quo not a bi-national state.
7. No mention...
solomon ,   bklyn   (12.27.17)
...of Abbas running to the UN when he couldn't get 101% of what he demanded from Israel?!
8. Two States already exist: Jordan is Palestine
Shepard Martin Fargo   (12.27.17)
This article is just more of the same tired thinking that has led no where since Oslo - and Oslo was a farce also. New times, new paridigm. The debate over Jerusaleum is over. It is the capital of Israel in every way imaginable. The Palestinians took a risk of all of the loaf or none, and they lost. The Pals must accept the hard reality and make the best choices with the limited options at hand. Problem is, the Pals hardly every make the logical choice.
9. Abbas is a terrorist by his own words - Appeasement
(12.27.17)
10. Stop this nonsense: the only "state" Arabs want is the State
(12.27.17)
of Israel. The rest is sick, Lefty self-delusion.
11. The "Palestine" enemy is down. Time to end it forever!
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.27.17)
Today, our mortal fictional enemy of "Palestine" is down. Israel has a historic chance to put the evil abomination out of its misery. Israel has not had such a wonderful opportunity since Likud defeated the terrorist P.L.O. and exiled it. Israel would now be enjoying our third decade of permanent peace, had the lunatic Labor Party not rescued the P.L.O. and offered it much of Israel during the Oslo Disaster.

The "Palestine" enemy is down. Now is the time to end it forever! If you love Israel, DEMAND the Israeli government declare sovereignty in Judea and Samaria and end the mad flow of Israeli food, money, electricity, work permits, materials and other support which keeps evil fictional "Palestine" afloat.
12. a forced binational state?
tiki ,   belgium   (12.27.17)
Nonsense.

The winner (Israel) & loser (Jordan) of the 6 Day War should go back to the drawing table and start from scratch. Judea & Samaria & 2-state solution should be renegotiated between those two countries.

Jordan didn't force itself into that war with the purpose of freeing the "occupied Westbank & E-Jerusalem" for they occupied it themselves since 1948.

Jordan started the war with the sole purpose of destroying Israel.........and failed!

Another Palestinian state, except Jordan/Palestine was not an option from 1948-1967 when Jordan had the option to do so....... and isn't an option now.
