1. You want to be 100% honest? How far would YOU go, to avoid
(12.31.17)
Oslo II?
I'd go pretty damn far......
2. So Netanyahu took cigars and champagne
(12.31.17)
When labour was in power the head of the histadrut among others from the left took public money from the till and gambled it in Las Vegas. Some of us are still alive and only in their early 60's and we still remember.
3. he is creating an israel in which everything has a price tag
epo   (12.31.17)
... and he pays if it benefits him ... but only then

so, take the money if you can get some and stfu.
4. .. and with this, your PM makes the country corrupt
epo   (12.31.17)
he actively enforces corruption everywhere...

if it is corrupt, he will stay in power indefinitely.

and this is the only plan he has.
5. @Mickey Klein oh 4 goodness sakes please give it a rest!
Emett HaAm ,   Israel   (12.31.17)
because if we were to take your theory to the bitter end then how would it even be possible for the State of Israel to have survived between 1948 and 1996?
(1996 is the first time that Netanyahu was elected).
Really However was it that for close to 50 years the State of Israel managed without Netanyahu?
Really However is it that for less than 15 years he's been leading the State of Israel and turned us into a full vassal of the United States?
6. Wow! I didn't know the PM is the immortal Messiah!?!
(12.31.17)
7. Mickey Klein - You are sadly mistaken.
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem   (12.31.17)
1. If our leaders can freely "take a few inappropriate gifts" w/o punishment the whole of the country loses it's way. The rot sets in from the top and destroys the very fabric of society.

2. Ynet - you have outdone yourself re the lousy English in this article. Two small examples:
A. What is "stateliness" here? Please use your dictionary! What is "incorruption"?
B. This sentence makes no sense at all: "Neither more nor less, and not for the sake of a vision or for the sake of a supreme goal."
8. people protest corruption and netanyahu
henry   (12.31.17)
allegations are one thing. Proof is another thing. netanyahu is not a traitor as some suggest. he has tried his best. he did not follow the usual oslo model which is a pile of empty garbage known from the start with rabin being tired and pressured by usa and peres.

yes he was the never the action commando that people might have thought but at least he did volunteer for combat; which is more than lapid, herzog, livni ever did though some served in other roles.

that bibi claims he did not know others around him got caught up in alleged scandals is disturbing. leaks about ongoing investigations should not be tolerated. on the other hand, police can make recommendations to the state attorney and he/she can decide.

according to allegations, if true, many gifts, maybe jewelry for what??... then allegations that you write good articles about me and i'll depress circulation of a competitor. and finally allegations in the sub affair that senior people known to bibi got fingered and that bibi did not know, the whole thing stinks to high heaven.

as the gaza war shapira report, bibi was disconnected from the reality of the tunnels and what to do about it. even if he did not know technicalities. he had to demand, demand... how many, how dangerous are they, do they cut into israel how do we attack them and when. what is the plan?on his own, bibi did the least possible.

If gantz had no plan then he should have been replaced with galant. lapid was even worse, backing yaalon and gantz in a do as little as possible approach. bennett was the real action force but ynet and haaretz do not see it that way. they prefer lapid and gabbay, 2 weak men who want to shrink Israel's waistline and enable more rockets to land and destroy in the heartland.all so there can be peace which does not exist in the arab culture. it is simply a respite till the next round.

so yes, bibi needs to be replaced at the earliest if likud wants to see its numbers go up. bibi needs to be replaced because of these sordid allegations which in themselves even if not illegal reflect poorly on him. and for security, bibi simply cannot unload the idf in a major operation. he lacks nerve period. the Syrian nuclear site would never have been eliminated if dagan had not forced the issue. bibi would not have done it because he lacks guts to be blunt about it.by the way, heros of the left like ehud barak was against the hit, and you can bet gabbay and lapid would not have done it either. yet you want to vote for them. what a pathetic people who vote in leaders who will not attack israel's enemies.

should israelis vote in lapid as pm, israel will get shrunken borders, more rockets and terror, and no peace whatsoever.
9. Henry: The Emperor & his wife must be above reproach
Enough is Enough! ,   Israel   (12.31.17)
That means not even a shadow of an allegation can be brought up. In the case of our Emperor & his wife...well they are NOT above reproach
10. PM Netanyahu = Rehoboam Ben Shlomo!
(12.31.17)
and we all know how Rehoboam did the nation in! We're $crewed!
11. what the rabbis forgot
Yehuda ,   Yerushalayim   (01.01.18)
is that they are not the ones running the world. Hashem runs the world, and if they don't live that, then why are they calling themselves rabbis?
Hashem can save the Jews any way He likes and He certainly doesn't need Bibi's help to do so!
12. Helping left topple Bibi courts disaster for Israel
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.02.18)
Israel can benefit from a healthy discussion about what it means to be right wing in Israel. But it is another thing to help the left topple Bibi. Helping the left topple Bibi is a sure recipe for disaster.

The last time patriotic parties brought down a rightist government, we ended up with Oslo. Oslo lead to 20,000 Israelis being murdered and maimed, and almost destroyed Israel. Had Arafat accepted Oslo, Israel would have come under enormous pressure to implement every one of its suicidal measures. Had Oslo been implemented, Israel would not exist today. There is no excuse for any patriot or rightist to help leftists topple Bibi and gravely harm Israel.
