1. A SUPERB ANALYSIS Those politicians who involved themselves
Rafi ,   US   (01.01.18)
in the Elor Azaria affair for their own political benefit AT THE EXPENSE OF IDF values, discipline and morale should be imprisoned for TREASON if not worse.

They inflicted damage on the IDF that the enemies of Israel could only wish for
2. 2nd longest pm netanyahu
hy   (01.01.18)
bibi is the second longest pm since ben gurion. obviously he has learned political survival skills. but he is pm in no small part to the very weak security credentials of labour and yesh atid over the years and their policies of conceession. who in their right mind would vote for herzog or livni or lapid? they would all give up parts of the west bank and jordan valley and even east jerusalem. there would be more terror and endless haggling about who started which fight. Israelis see the results of the gaza withdrawal and all they got was death and terror.

yet they are tired of bibi and his bluster. he says he hit hamas 40 times. who the hell cares if rockets are still firing?. he doesn't understand that if israel did as galant said ie knock off some top leadership, hit 25 fuel stations, hit transformers, hit naval dockyards, hit 20 police stations then it might transmit a message. hamas laughs at 1-2 strikes here or there.

and bibi's likud votes for annexaiton of parts of west bank andjordan valley which strategically are vital. of course chicken bibi doesn't show up. this is his wife his whole life.

he is only pm because of lapid livni and herzog and now gabbay.

but now we have bennett who is the best mk for security, way ahead of lapid and gabbay so says shapira indirectly. we also have barkat who may enter the leadership contest. and feiglin is out there as well as saar.

so in the next polling, I hope to see bennett outrank lapid. if not, then israel is on a suicide mission. regardless of what is on the ground, israel cannnot give up any more of disputed territories which it has a rightful claim to according to the levy report.

in any case, i have no doubt that bibi will be indicted.it is the end of the road for him.

in the next confrontation with hezbollah and hamas, israel cannot afford to have bibi or lapid livni and gabbay as its leaders as all are incapable of waging a brutal fight against its enemies. bennett, barkat and feiglin can lead such a fight. bibi cannnot, no way. that is why he does limited bandaids that achieve little.
3. with all of his problem, bibi is better than gabbay or lapid
earl   (01.01.18)
while I prefer a more decisive action pm candidate like bennett, feiglin or others, bibi is still much more capable than lapid who is an olmert crony, and gabbay, who is herzog no 2, a weak concession minded person.

Israelis must not forget as they eat fancy meals in fine dining rooms, that security is like bread and water. they must have a tough minded person at the helm.

lapid livni and herzog are all weak. their prescriptions we know would turn out badly. we already see that from Gaza- it is clear.

no less than zohar of Gaza once said he had more regard for the pioneers of Israel who believed in their cause than the current crop of politicians. so annexing the west bank may be a positive step. giving up land has given Israel MISERY.

we do not need to relive oslo. it will never work period.

an article of faith is that Israel by itself has to have absolute control of security, no sharing of this or that, no joint patrols, no Saudi and Jordan vetting who can go in and out, and no rotten general allen's sensor plan on the Jordan valley that even a 10 year old would say would never work.

Israel cannot outsource its own security. it cannot do it. when you vote, think of these things. otherwise another tragedy may befall the Jewish people.
4. Just as the way he looks, this Eisenknott is a disgrace to
(01.02.18)
the noble profession of soldiering!
Should've been fired long time ago, but obviously . for some reason, Bibi thinks otherwise.
5. this is one of the best Op/Ed analyses ever run by Ynet
Rafi ,   US   (01.03.18)
Ron Ben-Yishai provides an objective, non-emotional summary of the security situation impacting Israel in 2018 from both without and within...

However Mr Ben-Yishai's analysis of the threat posed to the integrity of the IDF by craven, opportunistic political low lifes (aka Benyamin Netanyahu, Naftali Bennett, et al) during the Elor Azaria affair is particularly poignant... His writings & concerns are those of a true patriot.

Anyone who damages the integrity of the IDF, its morale - and ultimately its fighting capability - damages the security of the State of Israel.

As mentioned previously, the individuals doing this are doing the work of the enemies of Israel - and their actions should be treated accordingly.

Not that the IDF is eternally beyond criticism or reproach... but that is NOT the approach these politicians are taking:

Rather, for their OWN political gain, they intentionally subverted the legitimate legal and professional processes of the IDF (and the State) to stage a show for their Neanderthal constituents.

They should be remembered and punished accordingly.
