we are supposed to live with animals. genesis, they were created with us.

they need their living space, and we have to take responsibility for them - whether they are "wild" or domestic ones.

we have to take care, that their space is good for them,
that they find food, and a natural balance can be kept.

they do have diseases - actually ours and theirs match widely.

not only to protect us, but to protect them, we have to share our gains (technology, pharmacy, money) to help them. to fight disease, to stay healthy.

or do you think, a shakal with rabies is a happy bunny?
they suffer so badly when infected with rabies - as humans do.

and not all rabies cases are violent.
some animals, especially dogs, can become soft and depressed.
lions show NO symptoms at all, as may pet cats. but they do have and may spread the disease. and they suffer, too.

wild animals belong to our societies as everyone else.
they may not get a vet-haddassah, but its our duty to take care of them.
that should be clear to the religious ppl in particular.
