There is no deterrence. Essentially Israel sits back and waits to be attacked and then gives an ineffective response resulting in more random missiles. The attitude being we can live with some missiles.
3. the ehud barak model is a disaster
james   (01.02.18)
when you get a general to become naitonal leader, it usually does not work out. barak was a disaster, a total disaster and roundly rejected by the populace. the army has been saying for years, because the s ituation in gaza is complex, you will have to suffer rocket fire. we will respond but judiciously.so the army lets the people take mostof the burden.

it is time to throe out the barak model. idf has to be more decisuve. if gaza is to blow up, the sooner the better.
4. Retake forever our lands we foolishly abandoned
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.02.18)
The obvious root cause of Israel's problems with both South Lebanon and Gaza are Israel's lunatic retreats from those areas. These retreats are the reason for endless wars, terror and thousands of rockets pointing at us from Gaza and South Lebanon. The only solution is to reverse these disastrous retreats. Retake forever our lands we foolishly abandoned.
