Politics should not be united with religion. I agree that Saturday is a day of rest - but it should be my freedom of choice - not the governments. As for the tourists - I think this is going to harm us, closing supermarkets on Saturday.
But, I do remember that while traveling in Europe, a while back, all food stores and restaurants were closed on Sunday. Very inconvenient. On the other hand, I remember ordering a milkshake at an Eilat hotel on Saturday and they refused, citing that it was Saturday.
