Many came as tourists and stayed illegally while others married US citizens under false pretense. The US has very strict guidelines regarding it's visa program. Failure to show a steady income and payment of income taxes or any kind of controversy with the law or PC police can result in instant denial. Of course he has no connection to the land. That's a basic core defining attribute of every Zionist colonist. Their only "connection" to the land is the extent to which they exploit it and steal its resources, even though they know that it belongs to the indigenous Arab Palestinians. The American Embassy did nothing wrong in its visa decision, other than the fact that they granted two of the other colonists visas. They should have denied those too.
