1. Gift for leftists as well
Israel ,   Tel Aviv   (01.16.18)
This speech is also a gift to Israeli leftists - it will help them to get rid them of illusions that we have a partner for a peace process.
2. One state - no return - compensation offered to leave
(01.16.18)
3. leader’s lies
samuel tayar ,   montreal   (01.16.18)
The last paragraph appears disjoint from the rest of the opinion.
Ruined the read; waste of time.
4. Two State Concept is history! New Paradigm needed!
Bear Klein   (01.16.18)
Abbas to many of us never has been a partner as he wants to destroy Israel and not make peace with it. Israel clearly needs a new paradigm as the 2 state concept is history. The logical first step is apply Israeli Civil Law to all the Jewish Towns in Judea/Samaria. The simultaneous step needs to make sure all terrorists are not allowed to do any harm. Those are the first steps of a new paradigm. Will an NGO who helps peaceful Arabs who voluntarily want to relocate to another country be formed? Will they be allowed to buy Arab properties and provide financial and logistical assistance for these people to relocate to other countries. Providing a peaceful solution to the conflict. Seems like this would be money better spent than on UNRWA which perpetuated the conflict instead of solving it.
5. Abbas gift to the left
MadDad ,   Johannesburg   (01.16.18)
After all these years of demanding Israel weaken itself to make compromises to accommodate the “peaceful “ Arabs aspirations to live side by side with Jews Abas has finally shown the left what he is all about- lies more lies and damn lies
Time for the left to wake up and smell the roses courtesy of Abbas
6. One "big" Jewish state - yes. Arabs living in it - no.
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv   (01.16.18)
I find it almost on the verge of being comical, farcical and ludicrous when people such as Ben-Dror Yemini refers to a Jewish state encompassing all of the land of Israel between the river Jordan and the Mediterranea Sea, as "one big Jewish state" or "Big Israel", for the simple reason that the Arab party of the Arab-Israeli conflict, has with the British empire's good recollection, ALREADY STOLEN 80% OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE'S HOMELAND - MEANING JORDAN, and the remaining 20% - meaning "Big Israel" is still ONE OF THE SMALLEST POLITICAL TERRITORIES ON THIS EARTH.

"Big Israel" is SMALLER than average sized European states such as Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Sweden or United Kingdom. "Big Israel" is SMALLER than Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium and Netherlands.

"Big Israel" is no empire remind you. It's still a pathetically small political territory.

We Jews have HISTORICAL and LEGAL rights to ALL of Israel, and unless Israeli leftists and the "world community" believe in land theft and imperialism, it would make perfect moral and ethical sense that the Jewish native population will reclaim their entire homeland while the Arab imperialist colonialist newcomers, in similarity to the British and European empires in Black Africa and India, need to pack their bags and leave.

So to conclude: yes, I want a Jewish state between the river and the sea and I want the Arabs of Judea & Samaria and Gaza to LEAVE - this is not a matter of negotiation. That way we Jews have a demographic majority and defensible borders. As far as the Arabs of the State of Israel are concerned, it would be preferable if at least 90-95% of them leave my country as well. Maybe a tiny tiny Arab minority can remain in Israel, loyal to Israel as a JEWISH and DEMOCRATIC state. And if they don't like being a minority in our land, they know where the door is. They have more than 20 Arab states to choose from.

The poor poor Arabs will only bleft with the remaining 80% of our homeland (Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan) and additional 20 plus Arab states, 1.5 times the size of the USA.
7. WOW, talk about projection
Rami ,   Helsinki   (01.16.18)
Lawrence of Arabia had no Jewish soldiers, but hey I guess it was all one big conspiracy to fool the innocent Arabs. First Arab state would have resembled Saudi Arabia or baathist Iraq and Syria. King Faisal was Joseph Stalin of the desert.
8. Possible to comment without prejudice of SINA HINAM
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto -Kiriat Gat   (01.16.18)
Ideology and facts doesn't mix , as stake of Israel is the main concern, stop nonsense right or left , enough !
9. Revealing when Israel succumbed to International pressure
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto -Kiriat Gat   (01.16.18)
Trump with one single stroke reveal the real faced of Palestinian claims but also the failure of Israeli policy regarding the the peace plan from starting point, as International and American pressure leaded to wrong decisions , as Rabin was very reluctant in dealing with Arafat , and where all " experts" ("architects" of Oslo Accord)Dr Belin Peres etc), of design all peace agreement base on political correctness not by securing Israel also including Sharon and all the ex-generals form government with lack of vision and Jewish values.
When America released the pressure on Israel everything is clear and events will following the right path, just need unity from Israel political side , and has to be require PRAGMATIC APPROACH , throwing all political difference to garbage.
10. Applause........
tiki ,   belgium   (01.16.18)
The puppet show has ended and the Palestinian House of Cards is tumbling down.

It's time for the Left, the EU & UN to start recognizing the inconvenient truth!

There was, is & never will be another Palestinian State than Jordan/Palestine.

Following the charlatan(s) from "Palestine" and billions of wasted $$$ have brought nothing......except riches for the leaders & happy few around them..
11. He was Never a Real Partner in Peace
Steve ,   Rishon   (01.16.18)
Abbas is not a partner in peace because he does not have the power to make peace. Arafat kept Abbas around because he had no power of his own and so was no threat to Arafat.

If he made any agreement he would not be able to enforce it. PA soldiers would not be able to and or willing to get into a fight with Hamas to protect any agreement.

talking to him is a waste of time
12. Illusions and still more illusions coming
Peter Falk ,   Canberra   (01.16.18)
Israel and more around it is a land given by G-d to the jews.
Rightly Israel should take a part of today's Iraq , Jordan , Lebanon and Syria. All those lands belong to Israel.
Where should the palestinians , the jordanians go? to Egypt ,Arabia, to the lands they came from.
13. Israel should have executed this mass murderer decades ago
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.16.18)
Abbas was the leader of the incredibly sadistic Munich Massacre and many other massacres of Jews. Israel should have executed him decades ago. The blood of his countless victims cry out for justice.
14. Hamas and Iran don't want one big Israel
Moshe   (01.16.18)
While Iran strives to annihilate the Jews in Israel, Hamas aspires to murder all Jews (read clause 7 of its covenant). But both entities want to replace the Jewish state with a Palestinian one.

15. Abbas
Dik van den Dool ,   Spijkenisse, Holland   (08.16.18)
Unbelievable that he is still in charge, who believes him?
