There are many poor, slum areas, around the world. They do not lob bombs, dig tunnels, etc, etc. They try and do their best and survive. BUT THEN they do not have Islam as a religion. The Killings in Syria, Yemen, etc, persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt, Jailing Jakarta Mayor, burning Churches, Raping hindus, etc is not due to lack of work - it has one name ISLAM. THE MANY TERROR ATTACKS IN EUROPE CAME FROM 2ND GENERATION MUSLIMS THAT HAD GONE TO UNIVERSITY HAD JOB OPPORTUNITIES, ETC. Wherever you see an Islamic country the situation always turns repressive and violent - see Turkey which is sliding down the violence path after years of attempted secularism by the followers of Ata Turk. Until Muslim solve the inherent violence in Islam offering a job will do very little.

Oded, I invite you to check facts: 1) the arabs leaving in Gaza receives per capita more money than any latin american country, how come they did not use the money for roads, schools, and infractructure above the ground? 2) arabs in Gaza do not recognize Israel and support attacks on Israeli civileans including kids, 3) how come money flows to build rockets and weapons? 4) why should Israel pay for the corruption the arabs have in their midst? 5) it is more secure to hire chinesse men to do the work, they would ot wake up one day and pick a knife to kill as many Jews as they could. 6) how come arabs in Gaza still are called refugees when they could build cities and roads around Gaza? they are ot refugees and if they really want, they could improve their life quality by not trying to kill Jews at any moment they could....so, Israel should not care about this scumbags, arabs in Gaza are self inflicted idiots

The "humanitarian crisis" in Gaza exists because all foreign aid and all other resources are being diverted to making genocidal war against Israel. If Gaza were at peace with Israel, there would be neither want nor hunger there.

All of the problems and danger Israel suffers from Gaza stems from one source; our mad retreat from Gaza. We never had these problems when Gaza was ours. Its time to stop the B.S. and recognize the fact that our Gaza retreat was a total disaster, and reverse it. If we are truly honest, we will admit virtually all Israel's most serious problems stem from Israel concessions and retreats.

If there is a shortage of construction workers in Israel, it wouldn't be a bad idea to siphon off some of our oversized lawyer and journalist community and retrain them to produce something tangible and useful.
